Have you ever called on your own?

I am so tempted to call and see the status of my surgery. I just want to call GHI and say "hi, I just wanted to let you know my life is in your hands. How's it goin?"

Has anyone ever called and asked the status on your own?

I have BCBS Federal and my paperwork was sbmitted on a Thursday. I called Monday to verify they had received it and check its status, at first they said they didnt see anything and when I insisted they verify that before we hung up so I could have it re-sent they said they had indeed received the paperwork and it was under review. They called me back within a few hours to tell me it had been approved and I would receive a copy in the mail.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease... nothing wrong with calling to check on it at all. I would call every day. Good luck!

I called my insurance. I wanted to know first the requirements for approval. Then I called to follow up with paperwork when I completed the requirements, then I called when I got the approval letter because I just couldn't believe it!! LOL
