Since your wife doesn't seem to think there is a problem and neither does her surgeon, have you considered that this is your perception, and not reality?

10000000% worth it. Five years out from the sleeve. Maintaining well. I had a relatively easy recovery. There are some things I still can’t eat as they don’t sit well, but they are mostly things I don’t need to be eating anyway like rice, bread and carbonation.

Do realize that most people don’t get “thin.” Most people lose about 60-75% of their excess weight. So if your ideal weight is 135-165 and you weigh 265 you have 100lbs of excess weight. If you lose 60% of that that’s 60lbs so the odds are you would end up weighing 205.

You can definitely work and lose more, but statistically that’s what happens.

I’m gonna agree with this. Honestly I would LOVE to be able to say it’s grit and “working my tool” that’s allowed me to maintain a 135+ lb for five years... but I think it WORKED for me. Yeah I could eat junk but i honestly don’t want to the way I did before. Yeah, I work at it, but not the way I did before, only to regain. One day we will know which surgeries (or other therapies) work for whom and why... but the sleeve WORKED for me. I am, dare I say it... normal in a way I never was. I’m like any woman pushing 50 who needs to be careful, but not like before.

I vote caffeinated, but given how WLS patents are told to avoid caffeine and all, just seems a bit odd/off to me for a WLS site to be offering something that we are told to avoid. Just my 2 cents, I still drink coffee every morning at this point personally.

Will you all be offering samples? I've had some pretty nasty coffee flavored Proteins in the past.

Benefiber was part of my docs plan from day one. By a month out I was doing both soluble (benefiber) and insoluble (psyllium husk or Metamucil).

But contact YOUR doctor and see what their plan entails. You trusted your surgeon to cut you open, best to trust your surgeons advice.

Can’t tell you why @summerset but mine did! I went from a 9.5 to an 8.5

Perhaps all the weight pushing down on them made them spread in width and length both? Not sure!

I also lost at least half a inch in height. My doc said both are common. Maybe I lost weight from the bottoms of my feet?

This isn’t the black and white issue that people are making it out to be. Honesty we can’t know enough about your situation.

But here are some more thoughts, take what works for you.

How long have you been together? Is this a new thing for him to notice boobs? Did you used to have boobs and he misses them after you lost weight? What’s the rest of your relationship like?

I used to have ENORMOUS boobs. Like 44G or something at my highest, I never really wore the right size. Even when I was younger and just “chubby” not morbidly obese I was like 40DDD at least. My hubby has always been a boob man.

Flash forward to post WLS I wear a size 4 and was rolling up my deflated tube sock boobs into my bra.

Left to my own devices when I got my plastics I would have embraced a B/C cup. But after 22+ years of marriage i knew his preference matters to me. So I got implants with my lift. Would I have done it if I hadn’t already been getting surgery? Honestly probably yes. Would I have gotten them if I hated the idea just for him, no.

But like all things in a long term relationship, it’s about give and take, compromise, love, etc. Thats one that mattered to him more than it did to me, so it was my gift to him.

So yeah, I won’t keep cheezits in the House for him, but I will get implants. Ha! That is marriage for you.

@jess9395, my late husband once brushed his teeth with Vagisil, his excuse " Well ,the tubes were the same size" yeah but Vagisil is not Mint-tasting, even though your mouth might not itch anymore. ROFLMYFAO😛

I know, I feel terrible. I have reassured him and reminded him of those things. When I went to my girlfriends about it for advice, they said even they feel that way when eating around me. I think time will change this, I hope. If not, I think my next step is to get advice from the doctor.

Yes. 10000x yes. I have a few orthopedic issues that I had when I weighed close to 300lbs. Everyone told me they were weight related until I weighed 135. Then they found the actual issue. I had the problems for 15 years. They may certainly have been exacerbated by my weight, but they didn’t look any further than that for a cause for 15 years.

Well this confession you pre-diet brothers and sisters mightvsnicker at me# Probably,i deserve it. As I have declared in other locations I started my pre-diet liver-shirinking regime,a little earlier than most. After 2 evenings of improviding home-cooked type of below 300 calorie type below 30 carb items last night (night#3) I,microwaved an approved calorie frozen item. It was Kung Pao steamerchicken with edamame and red peppers.Opened it. Hmmn A little, dry and Tasteless but I guess it's okay. Eat it all down and then noticed the steamer bowl has two sections, lift that up and underneath there is the Kung Pao sauce. Duh!🍮

About six months at goal. That’s why most plastic surgeons want your weight stable for that long before they do surgery.
