Look at the calorie content in that bagel. You will change your mind. A buffet for sleeved patients are a waste of money.

Phew just walked 3 miles walked 2 this morning I'm much more motivated to work out since my surgery on the 11th I can defiantly tell I have more energy congrats to all the October sleeves good luck to you all

I'm with ya! My only pain is my large incision and I've had smooth sailing through mine too. Congrats!

Yay you! I'm hoping to experience the overall good you've had post op. My pre-op has been an exercise in frustration.

I had my sleeve on the 24th and I finally feel good again. Other than a little pain from my large incision I have little to no pain. Luckily I haven't had to deal with the nausea most of you have had, I thank my lucky stars for that one lol. I got my first followup tomorrow and cant wait to move on to mushy foods in a few weeks. I'm down 37lbs since I began my per-op diet on the 10th also. It hard to image that its been smooth sailing, but I'll take it lol.

It's official - I am sleeved!! Thank God- I have not had much pain I walking like crazy as I don't want the gas pain - but just as many others have described it - I feel like I have done a million sit ups. I am just on ice chips now - n a bit scared for the change tomorrow.

Just woke up - the day has come and it's time to get ready to head to the hospital. Need to be there at 715am for a 915am surgery. Excited and nervous (I've never had surgery before) but I know all will be great! May God bless everybody being sleeved today for a smooth procedure and a quick recovery!!

On my blog I have pictures of what I eat. Yu can see even in 3 months, the amount has increased over time slowly. I can eat 2-3 oz of dense Protein and now 1 oz of cooked veggies with it. My husband, sleeved the same day can do 4 oz of dense protein and 1-2 oz of cooked veggies.

I confess that I am not exercising like I should be either...
I confess that I think about going to Cheesecake Factory and ordering
a chocolate chip cookie dough slice of cheesecake :wub:
I confess I had a fish sandwish from McDonald's last week -
I did not eat the bread tho.. like thats an excuse.
I confess I WANT A CORONA SO BAAAAAAD!!!!
I confess I could tear up a snickers right now.
Now having confessed all this.... I will not go back to where I was...I ate the fish, the rest was in my head.
I have come too far to turn back now. But I do like these confessions.
It felt good to get that off my chest.

1. I confess that I think about food way more than I should.
2. I confess that I drink caffeinated coffee on occasion
3. I confess that I have sucked on a tiny peice of chocolate and let it melt in my mouth because I'm on soft foods
4. I confes that I have cried until I can't cry anymore about how much I miss my old eating habits
5. I confess that I secretly am angry when my husband eats a big plate of carbs and fat....

I'm also on day two. I'm pretty sore today. Havnt been abke to drink much today. But I know it'll get better.

Sleeved yesterday. I am very tired and sore but I'm trying to stay positive. Every tells me day two is the worst.

I'm headed in now. I'm scheduled for surgery in 2 hours. Woohoo!

I just got home from hospital today. Surgery was Tues at 1pm and went pretty good. Woke up to minimal pain in my stomach and no gas pains what so ever. I would have to say the hardest part about the first day for me was not being able to drink, my mouth was sooo dry, lucky the nurses gave me a sponge on a stick to moisten my mouth.
The next day I went for my swallow study first thing in the morning, and have been drinking ever since. I have had no problem drinking my shakes, Water, broth, etc. I have been trying to stay away from sweet stuff (ice pops, flavored water, etc) because it gives me phlegm which i then have to cough up, and thats painful.
I'm on Clear liquids until my appt next wed at which time I hope he lets me move to pureed.
Knock on wood everything has gone great for me. Keeping my fingers crossed that it continues.

I wish everyone had this kind of easy surgery...congrats to you!!!!
