Yesterday I bought a 3x Miraclesuit pantygirdle (ughh! That sounds awful) Brcause someone said her doctor told her if you wear tight fitting clothes your skin will not droop so much, will shrink in the right place - also since i am down 35 pounds since i started the "journey" i have discovered at least 8 pairs of size 24 jeans in my closets. Up and down for 30 years will do that? So goodwill is gonna have a big windfall of fat clothes this year . My surgical date is sept 3, 2013. An inch at a time.

Someone mentioned mayo Clinic but i dont see it in this thread. There are at least three Mayo Clinics across the US, i would go to them, they are the very best- i wouldnt waste any time going to anyone else. If it can be repaired, they will know.
I hope the damage can be repaired. So sorry this happened to him. And your family.
Why cant we all enjoy the quality of healthcare our congressmen and their families do?

I swam 2 laps in the pool three days this week in Montana, on vacation at Glacier Falls National Park. Walked a bit too. We were 3 crippled old ladies on vacation. Had a great time, sightseeing, on a boat tour, and a helicopter ride (i think i just squeaked on board) and ski lifts. I rang a japanese gong for luck and held a barn owl in Birds of Prey rehab center near Lethbridge, canada. My IPhone became totally useless in canada, i messed it up. What a great week!

Yes we have worked hard and long on this- so they know we really mean it. I am Not gonna flake out after all this preparation.
Remember, in two years we should be able to eat whatever we like, but hopefully will have learned to make healthier choices and smaller proportions

So today I started my 2 day before surgery liquid diet and I been so frustrated cuz am hungry and liquid Soups are yucky and I miss solid food :'( so any ideas for liquid food that are full filling tomorrow will be my last day eating with my regular tummy.

Hang in there Sami you can do this! i have been freaking out off and on, one thing that really helped me was people say "in two years you probably will be able to eat anything, but if you have followed the rules you will have trained yourself to eat healthier foods in smaller proportions, " so hold on tight, we are gonna have a two year adventure!

I have been told that those microbe changes or hormone changes are likely to fix or ease my insulin resistance/ diabetes. I might be able to lose a little more on my own, but then again, probably not (as per my 30 year obese history) . And the insulin/diabetes issue is what really made my mind up to go through with RNY. Any time i start to waffle on my decision, i remember that, and words like "stroke" or "blood clot" related to diabetes- i still have so many places i want to see.

Okay i am posting again
I make veggie stirfry at least once a week. Use Sunbird Stirfry and Pad Thai brand powdered mixes
I Cut 1 onion into strips
Fresh Peapods -1-2 cups - stringless is best
1/2 cauliflower sliced
2-3 carrots sliced
1 red pepper sliced or big squares.
Stirfry the vegetables in 2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil- about 5 minutes
Meanwhile mix the StirFry mix as directed, using splenda instead of sugar. Then add 2 tablespoons Peanut Butter and 1 teaspoon of Sunbird Pad Thai mix . Simmer and stir to mix up.
I add rotisserie chicken cut up to this.
The Pad Thai adds a little spice to the stirfry, the Peanut Butter calms the spice down. If you like garlic add a teaspoon too.
I brought this to work the other night, male nurses really like the way my food smells! Guess i will have to bring a full batch to share.
If you plan on leftovers, dont add all the chicken. I freeze my chicken in servings/baggies to bring to work, dont thaw it until im ready to eat it. Leftover chicken tastes funky from the refrigerator .
My nut says to avoid corn and all corn products. I dont eat noodles or rice anymore, really cut back on breads- whole grains only.

Only thing my Nurse says is drop from 1300 calories/day down to 1100 calories/day for the two weeks b4 surgery. (but i often go over- still losing anyway) september 3 will have surgery.
