Me too. I finally have moved from in the twenties to the teens (18). I was so excited I couldn't believe it, and I went from 4x to anywhere from x large, large, or medium depending on the way they are made.

I called my insurance company everyday, sometimes once in the morning and then once close to closing time to check the status of my case. No one ever told me not to call. Actually one of the reps told me to call as much as I wanted to.

I've been told either June or July! Not sure which I'm hoping for.... Part of me wants to do this and be done with the surgery, and the other part wants a bit more time! Oh the battles our brains play with us....

I will be getting a tattoo. I'm the only one in my family who doesn't have one. I designed my husband's and will be designing my own. I'm thinking long and hard about what it will be and where it will go. You don't rush something that's so permanent!

I am a 64 year old grandma to 10 wonderful kids! I am pretty mild going but when I began my journey .. For myself ... I went an had a small tattoo ( word) done on the inside of my wrist! Shocked everyone but I am so glad I did it! It remains me daily what my real hunt is for in my life.. The need for " BALANCE "

I actually work for a health insurance company and I see all too often people that need the work done and procedure are being denied as "not medically necessary". I just want everyone to know, you all have the right for a 1st level appeal and a 2nd level appeal and peer to peer. These are just some things that will help to get your surgery approved.

I am one more night away from surgery...May 5th. I am in Southern California and I have been pursuing the surgery since 2008. Can't believe I am actually a day away. My insurance and medical group required 32 weeks worth of classes and support groups. It was a 3 hour round trip at least once a week but I made it! I am having the bypass and will be kept for a minimum of 48 hours. I am so thankful for this site and to all of you who share your stories. Thanks to you all! Bought a new dress and when I modeled it for my husband he said, "Wow!, do you have Spanx on?" He lifted my dress up and I didn't!!!!!!!

Woooow a 10k!! Congrats everyone!!! Yeah I've had a few moments in the fitting room crying from joy lol can't believe I'm fitting in to smaller and smaller sizes.

I have become very aware and sensitive to people I am close to who still struggle with these issues. My brother and my best friend are both considerably overweight. When I'm out with either one of them I make an effort to ask for a table instead of a booth so they'll be more comfortable. I remember what it was like to not fit in a booth!

That's right! I use regular towel now lol. I love it. I also always have my leg crossed. And love that can use a regular bathroom. I naturally always walk to handicap first and stop... Laugh... And use regular one.
I love being comfortable in a booth at a Resturant. there's space!

My favorite NSV ... I'm able to buckle my seat belt without lifting my butt/hip I can just click and go!
I wear my watch and it slips up and down my wrist.

Its hard, because the place I live at pop is everywhere, but hopping moving out soon will be easier, because I will be buying the groceries and have a say what comes in and not the influence of not having roommates that are constantly bring pop in the house.

Also if you get rashes under the folds, and they become severe or any medical issues that are related from loose skin that are severe. Congrats on a year, and good luck with surgery. I've lost a hundred plus, but weighed more than you, but noticing the skin start to sag, which with my low self esteem, my stomach bothers me when I wear the size of jeans I currently in likes to fall out. So until I lost all my weight I'm buying a tummy control shaper until I can have my Tummy Tuck I get really bad rashes under the stomach from being overweight and loose skin, which it gets so severe it hurts, cracks open, and sometime bleeds. Which my doctor said insurance will cover, because of the rashes I get

Mine is this Christmas we always take pictures and I took a picture with my sister, god child, her sister/ my cousin and I. Put it has my profile picture on Facebook and got flooded with complements I've received in two days.

I wish I could say the same. I admit I went bananas over the past 2 days and ate a lot of things I shouldn't have. I tried to detox off sugar today and made it through about half the day. I caved and had a piece of chocolate. I need to get back on track. I didn't really gain but I certainly didn't lose anything. I am a sugar and carb addict and I need to stay away from them.

I've gone on two walks, and plan on going again tonight

Did some physical therapy exercises, and some partial sit ups. Tomorrow I start pool therapy.

They kept telling me I can't go until anteshia to wear off. I took my first walk at 4:30 pm and went to the carpet by the clinic and down to the nurses desk. At 7:30 pm I went down by the delivery room, and went into the clinic hallway back to my room, and the staff are surprised how well I can move around so well without help

That's good. I think I was the first to ask to start walking before I got into the hospital room

Surgery date is September 16th. So excited, nervous, and a little scared. Just with the future. I live in a house with 3 roommates, and scared that when I go back after recovering at my parents, and watching them eat foods that I use to eat. I'm not scared of eating healthier just seeing my other roommates eating unhealthy, and be tempting. Does it seem silly or not?
