Pain at left rib cage area
I just called the doctor and scheduled a fill. The appointment is not till March 4th. I'll ask him about the mystery left side feeling. The past week I've noticed I can eat larger portions or find myself going back to put a little bit more on my plate. Not good. Today is my seven month anniversary and I only lost 2lbs in the last four weeks. Bummer. What is your lipase level? I've never heard of it. Do you think your level is off because maybe our stomachs don't have the same level of stomach acids to digest food in the upper pouch? I've always wondered how the stomach acids are affected by having a small upper pouch.

Pain at left rib cage area
Me too.. Left side cramping under rib cage. Maybe it's normal for us to feel something is inside?

Pain at left rib cage area
Not sure if it's gas pain. It is a dull cramping feeling. Does yours bother you below the bra line? Does your bra or poor posture irritate it?

Pain at left rib cage area
I don't feel the "uncomfortable" feeling when I sneeze. It's usually when my posture is bad or I'm sitting down. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks Travelgirl

Pain at left rib cage area
The feeling is right at the edge of my rib cage. From the center of my body at the bra line. It is 2 1/2-3" down and 2 1/2-3" to the left. Maybe something is swollen in the area? I sneeze daily and they are usually pretty forceful. I don't know if something is slightly out of place???? Is it normal to feel like something is in there at times when you move certain ways?

Pain at left rib cage area
I have been banded for six months. I first noticed this uncomfortable feeling in my left rib area after surgery when I put my leg up to shave. It's the area right below where my bra sits. If I straighten out my posture or body it seems to go away. I cut all the wires from my underwire bra and still find myself moving my bra off my skin in that area. It's not painful, just uncomfortable sometimes. My port is a few inches away from the "mystery" area. I don't have a problem with reflux. Do other people experience this? I find myself often straightening up my posture and moving my bra. Weird. What is it? 6 month picture Dr V.bmp

Hardness in belly... is this my band
I have an uncomfortable feeling also below my rib cage on the left side. It's not painful just uncomfortable. It's not my port. I can feel the port a few inches below my rib. Do you notice when you posture is bad it seems worse?

Hi Car, I'm like you on the sidelines. I always read what's going on but don't post that often. I think next time I go for a fill I'll ask him to do it under fluro just to check things out. My first fill was under floro. The second was not. Glad your pain has almost disappeared. I get nervous when I feel that discomfort thinking something is messed up in there. My last fill was 15 weeks ago. At the second fill I reached good restriction. It has loosened up. I've lost 24 pounds since my last fill. I'll need to schedule another one soon. Thanks for posting.

Found out today my band slipped :(
I'm having an uncomfortable feeling about a inch below my bra line where i think the band is. If I straighten my posture and/or lift my bra off that spot it seems to go away. My port is about 4-5 inches away from the uncomfortable spot. I don't have acid reflux or pain at my strenum. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this feeling. I hope my band did not slip. Thanks

The uncomfortable feeling is coming from my band right below my bra line. I ripped out all the wires from my underwire bras but still get that feeling when I slouch. My port is about 5 inches away. It's not coming from that area. When I'm out with friends or in public I catch myself wanting to "lift" my boob or pull my bra off that spot when I slouch. Guess I need to work on my posture. I never liked standing up straight because I didn't like my boobs sticking out. I know it sounds crazy. They are a D now but getting smaller. Well we do look better and thinner when we have good posture.

Good Afternoon Everyone, Does anyone ever get an uncomfortable feeling under their left boob? I'm guessing that is where the band is. I notice it most if I wear a bra that does not have good support. I usually straighten up my posture and adjust my bra and it goes away. Just wondering if it is normal for others to get this feeling sometimes. Thanks, Sonya

Six Tijuana doctors arrested in sting
I was banded in Mexico by dr. verboonen in July and have nothing but positive things to say about him and his staff. My sister was banded by him a year before me by Dr. Verboonen and my aunt was banded by him three years ago. All success stories. If anyone is inquiring about having surgery with Dr. Verboonen and would like to ask me about my experience please feel free to ask me. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Don't get discouraged. I'm down 45 pounds and very happy with my results. I'm averaging 1.6 pounds a week which is a healthy rate.

I'm so excited. I finally past the 40 pound mark. Yeah! I'm averaging about 1.6 lbs a week which I think I great. I'm happy about my weight loss. Yesterday I was able to fit into some of my XL's that I haven't worn in a long time. I'm glad the holidays are over and the sweets and liquid calories are gone. For Christmas a friend gave me a year membership to Bally's. So now I can work on weights in addition to my bike riding. A few years ago, I was an avid bike rider. Recently I started riding started riding again. My goal for the new year is to get back to riding 60-75 miles a week (15 miles a day) and do weights at the gym 3 days a week.

midband vs. lapband
There are doctors in the US that will perform fills on the Midband. My surgeon from Mexico referred me to a doctor locally to do my fills. Fill center USA will not do fills on the Midband because it is not FDA approved yet. It's a great band. My band doctor has the Midband, so does my aunt and sister. Wonderful results and no complications. Good luck.

I was losing slow to until this past week. The liquid calories, such as soup and snacking were adding on the calories. I keep track of my calories in a log book from "Calorie King". You can get it at the book store. They also have a great web site with the calories of everything.

The news report last night said they can now do the "arm lift" surgery with a scar half the size they use to. Now the scar starts in your armpit and goes down about four inches(about half way). The price is about $8,000. I'm sure it's cheaper in Mexico.

Last night on the news they were talking about a new skin tightening process that is used on people who have lost a lot of weight. This link shows before and after pics. I'm still trying to find the other link with pics also showing what they can do for bat wings. Dallas Thermage Plano Thermage Skin Tightening Body by Thermage Body Thermage Eye Thermage Dallas

Hey CC, I'm a slow loser also. I had my surgery two weeks before you and I've lost 25 pounds. Slow is fine. It does get frustrating but at least it's coming off.

Need a new doc in the Lauderdale area
Hi Chris, Did you find a doctor in the area? I live in Ft. Lauderdale and am also looking for a local fill doctor. I was banded in Mexico in July with the Midband. I flew back to Mexico for my first fill but would like to stay in the area if possible for followup. The doctor told me about Dr. Gomez in Miami. I plan on calling him Monday. Fillcentersusa does not currently do fills on the Midband, but I heard the fillcenter in St. Pete does a great job on the other bands. Welcome to South Florida
