  1. I have the same exact symptoms! The doctors have chalked it up to my sleep meds not being absorbed correctly. I already had a sleep disorder, but this is ridiculous. I'm going to research this.
  2. Being around family freaked me out. There was so much junk around. I feel the same, "derailed", but I know we'll get back on track with help from all the people in the forum.. Just remember how far you've come, and honor that , because we do! Maybe we can commit to track our food from here on out during the holidays...I usually do, but fell off that wagon this week. I hope you don't beat yourself up, al, you got this! Message me if you want. I'd love to talk.
  3. Oh yeah..I got slippers that I picked out myself...and some clothes that are a 1x..I'm currently a medium..try not to feel hurt, but really?
  4. Akin sagging is distorting my ink...arrggh!

I had terrible TMJ..had four years of 24 hour splint therapy, band therapy, braces, and physical therapy. Bio feedback and really practicing exercises still help me. The problem I had was that TMJ wasn't covered by any insurance..crazy expensive, but worth it in the end.
  6. How was everybody's Christmas? I snack ed my way through and it was really hard to stay on a regular eating schedule. I'm glad to be back on a regular schedule. Question: we got several gift cards to fine dining establishments...I'm uncomfortable sharing plates when an entree starts at about $35.00...considered very bad form. I can't imagine ordering full meals and not eating it, either, as this could be considered an insult to the chef. What would you do?
  7. You look wonderful! Great job, and Merry Christmas to all.
  8. Call your surgeon immediately.. I had this, and it was written off as hemorrhoids..Three days later I was in the hospital with a bleeding ulcer...4 units of blood. Not fun at all. My surgeon told me to call him with GI concerns rather than going to my gp.
  9. Yeah, it's going to suck driving up there...worried. You look great, Dori... All of us should be proud! Anyone still cooking for Christmas...I'm making two lasagne...I'll eat veggie snacks and sausage balls, I guess. What are you all going to eat?
  10. Recovery varies from person to person...I was up the first day, and really turned the corner after about week 3. Take the pain meds on time..sip lots and walk a lot...you'll feel better before you know it.
  11. Boo on the big snow...got my twins Packer tickets for Christmas...now I'm all worried about them driving...they nay be 25, but they're still my babies.
  12. Everyone is doing so well...great jib!
  13. I didn't want to shop for clothes, either, but it was inevitable for me...couldn't wear size 22/24 on a size 12 body...my pants would fall off. I just wear a lot of leggings and stuff that will fit over a long time..it's freezing here in Wisconsin, so I wear a lot of fleece...not sexy, but warm. Lol. In spring I'll have to shop for summer clothes...it gets expensive.
  14. Thanks for sharing your story...we're here for you.
  15. I had v8 to break up the constant sweet attack from shakes..
  16. I went out for a 32 oz porterhouse dinner before I started my liquid diet...creamed spinach, chop salad, garlic mashed potatoes...I ate it all. This seems to be a common phenomenon with many if us...the good news is I can still eat steak...just 3 oz instead of 32...still satisfying and delicious..
  17. Diet pepsi addict here...like 7 cans a day! I cut out 1 can every 4 days until I finally quit. It was hard, but now I don't miss it.
  18. My surgeons goal for me 18 months out was 185. I'm now 182... My goal has always been more ambitious...160 lbs. I feel fine the way I am...so much more energy...glad you're feeling ( and looking) great!
  19. Yup..that's what I was feeling with the other doc. Glad I saw someone else.
  20. Go Pack! My twins are going up for the game...a Christmas present...hope Rodgers can play!
  21. Definitely check with your doctor..are you getting in 64 oz a day?
  22. So..medical update...I saw the head of neurosurgery at UW Wisconsin...he works in a team , so I'll be seeing a neurologist, an ENT and him. More tests, but they hope they can find a non surgical approach. Quite the difference from the other doctor who just said to live with it and sent me back to pain management. It goes to show how proactive we need to be with our health.
