  7. I'm putting together an Amazon wish list next year...
  8. Try a whey isolate, it's more digestible. I also checked with my nut. to make sure it was ok.
  9. It's super easy...want the recipe?
  10. I'm with you...I'm a veggie lover, and definitely not a natural meat eater. Sometimes I just eat salad for lunch, sometimes I eat vegetarian meals. I track my protein intake, and if I have salad, I might have an extra protein drink to increase my protein that way. As far as being balanced, it does balance out...I'm still getting veg, and protein, just less of each. But there's no way I could get all my nutritional needs met through food alone; I simply don't take in enough calories. That's why vitamins are so important. We have to take them for life.
  11. I'm eight months out, and I can eat about 3/4 cup if it's hard protein like beef, or about a cup if it's more like yogurt. I always eat 1/2 protein first, followed by veggies, and then complex carbs . I usually don't make it past a bite of veggies.
  12. Chicken with garlic, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and spinach with a balsamic and wine reduction. Herbed quinoa on the side. Yummy. Couldn't face chicken for awhile, but it hit the spot.
  13. We can tone up the muscles, but stretched skin doesn't go away without plastic surgery. Some people are lucky and young(lol) and their skin reduces somewhat, but there us no exercise to get rid of the sags. A number of members talked about wraps awhile back but the consensus was that effects are temporary. Sorry.
  14. Fantastic! I hope you feel as good as you look!
  15. I order from amazon...also unsure makes unflavored,as well as other manufacturers. I just order mine from Amazon because I get free shipping. If I were you, I wouldn't order large amounts pre op..your tastes may change. Also, mix powders thoroughly to get rid of lumps. I also freeze mine so there's no lumps.
  16. Go Pack! They might actually blackout the game..it's not sold out yet. It's my 18th wedding anniversary today! 18 down and life to go! Lol. Does anyone have tattoos that are drooping? Mine are, and I'm panicking a little..Boob droop is out of control, and my navel is almost occluded by drooping skin....we can't afford plastic surgery, so I'll try to find a way to have insurance pay. Anyone else facing this? Happy New Year to all! I'm 29 lbs from goal!
  17. I use NOW Foods 100% whey isolate...unflavored. I mix it with vitamin water and freeze until icy. There are many choices for protein..I don't like sweets, so flavored shakes grossed me out.. Talk to your nut. to see what their programs requirements are...I'm supposed to get 80 grams of protein each day. I drink 3 unflavored protein drinks each day...20 g.protein in each one. If you go to GNC, they will let you sample protein drinks. Some protein makers have sample packs. Stay away from protein shots, as the protein us not digestible. I hope this helps!
  18. I lost a newborn calf and two Maltese dogs...or I lost as much as my skinny sister weighs. I lost a whole adult woman...whoa
  19. I'm one if those people who walks around on ambien...I do all sorts if weird stuff.
  20. Check out GNC...they have a ton of choices...
  21. Unfortunately, I'm 8 months out...no improvement, yet, but I'll keep hoping.
  22. Yeah...I bought the slippers, and the clothes were from other family... I do know several men who have gotten lovely, thoughtful gifts for their wives, so I don't think it's a gender issue. Maybe it's how they were raised.
  23. Several studies have found this to possibly be caused by mineral deficiency...going to call for a check up on Monday.
