  1. Welcome...your life is about ready to change for the better!
  2. Music 1618- Totally off subject, but isn't shoulder surgery the worst? I had my shoulder rebuilt completely, and the pain wad
  3. I know some meetings have more overeaters while others have more anorexics and bulimic. I hope you find one that fits you. I can totally understand having a panic attack around bigger people...part of anorexia, it's not terrible. I wasn't preaching about valium, hope you didn't take it that way...just concerned, that's all. If you ever want to talk, message me, or email me at: deaddemmama@gmail.com I get what you're going through
  4. Broke my own rule and weighed again today while I was trying to figure out how to change my scale from kg. to lbs. OMG I'm up five pounds. What the hell?
  5. I think you should take time to get a massage, a manicure, etc. Good thoughts your way!
  6. Congratulations to all who are approved and good vibes to those still waiting!
  7. Mami, Here are some things that helped me get approved.(after two years): Keep one doctor that supports your disability as your primary doctor Get copies of all your medical records. Keep copies for reference. If a doctor is evaluating you, ask what he or she will be specifically looking at. Get it in writing if possible. Remember that SSI will be looking at all aspects of your life for disability. For instance, if you work out, they may see this as a reason to deny. Even if you admit to doing things like cooking( if you can), they may deem you healthy. If other people are writing letters for you or filling in forms related to how disabled you are, review them, or have your lawyer review them, before submitting them. I was denied the second time because my sister estimated my disability at 85% instead of 100%. Don't talk to SSI without clearing it with your lawyer. Let them handle communications. Always take down the time and date you talk to SSI. Get the name of the person you talk to. I often got conflicting information from different people. I hope everything works out for the best! Take care, babe!
  8. I order mine through amazon.com. Just search unflavored Protein powder in the product search. GNC also carries a lot of protein powders.
  9. I would definitely add it to a flavored water. In plain water...blech. It also foams quite a bit, so I mix it, put it in the freezer until foam disappears and drink. I also add it to yogurt and Soup ( not hot soup). I saw a post awhile ago that suggested putting a scoop in a bowl every morning and adding a pinch to everything...I get an additional 10- 20 grams a day by doing this. I also add it to any sauce I make i.e. spaghetti, chili before it gets too hot in order to boost Protein content of meals.
  10. My family loves the zucchini lasagna. I'm lucky they pretty much eat what I cook. They're losing weight, also!

  12. Have you recently added foods? The only time I've gotten sick was when I started soft foods. I added too many foods too quickly. Also, a good dose of miralax or milk of mag. might really help.
  13. I use the either unjury or syntrax unflavored in vitamin water. I've found that the syntrax seems to mix better, but the unjury has less taste. Try sample packs to see what you like before you buy any big tubs.
