  1. The green beans have 200 fewer calories, 13 fewer grams of fat. Maybe stick to white meat ( if you can tolerate it) and beans, or if you bring it home, make wilted spinach with garlic and a little parmesan . It takes about 5 minutes.
  2. Zucchini lasagna tonight. My family wants garlic bread, but I must resist...sweets aren't a trigger for me, but bread ? Oh yeah!
  3. My 70 year old father in law just got my mother in laws's face tattooed on his arm. Very sweet.
  4. That's a good question for your nut. Each person is so different in terms of where they are in their weight loss, activity level, etc., that the nut. is the best source for this info. My nutritionist has a rule of thumb: if I'm eating a cup of food, I should eat 3/4 Protein, 7/8 veggies, 1/8 carbs. She's not really into weighing everything. I eat almost no carbs except quinoa, and then only 1/8- 1/4 c. at the most. Any other carb I get is from fresh fruit.
  5. My mom made peace with my tattoos after my full grateful dead back piece...it covers the scar from my thoracotomy. Bad scar..beautiful tattoo. My first one in 1983...that one she was not happy about. She got over it... I agree, our bodies are temples, and we should do what we can to keep them healthy...like not being obese!
  6. I was also a competitive swimmer for twelve years so I think my blood is 90% chlorine!
  7. I have nerve damage throughout my chest wall so any exercise where I have to hold my trunk upright can be very painful. The water supports my trunk and makes everything easier. I also use flotation weights for resistance. Can tell the difference already.
  8. Bacon is one food that made me really sick...from two bites. The fat content is too high for me.
  9. I use unflavored because I'm not a sweet fan. I can mix it in Vitamin Water, soup, yogurt, whatever. I don't like the artificial flavors of the powders, but sometimes I'll add vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon to an eas advantage vanilla shake for a snack.
  10. Talked to my nut. about this. She said it definitely could be an Iron deficiency or folate/ B12 deficiency. They're going to do some labs.
  11. So happy that all of you are finally getting relief!
  12. Anyone else do water aerobics? I love it! I alternate aerobics with deep water running with an aquajogger and daily walking. Good toning and calorie burning with no joint pain. Happy.

  14. You can have them..after breastfeeding twins, they were shot all to hell, and when my milk came in with my third boy, I was an H cup! Needless to say, they didn't bounce back. I just got used to saggy boobs.
  15. So happy for you! My twins are twenty five today!
  16. Congratulations!
  17. Just a reminder to everyone to fulfill his or her obligation. It's not nice to hear so many people not getting boxes. That's a shame.
  18. We're trying flank steak stuffed with sun dried tomatoes, spinach, artichoke hearts, and mild bleu cheese. Pound steak thin, rub with garlic, salt, pepper. mix bleu cheese with greek yogurt and garlic in food processor until smooth. Spread in strip down center of steak. Place reconstituted, chopped tomatoes, spinach, and chopped artichoke hearts in beef and roll. Skewer to secure. Grill, turning often until medium rare...should be good.
  19. Every surgeon is different, but wow. I'm a month behind you, and there's no way I could get all my protein in without supplements. And I eat almost all protein.
