Just a word of caution... Dont move to quickly into stages. The pouch needs time to heal which is why the guidelines are there. Good luck on your appointment.

No sneezing, but I am tasting magnesium citrate for the first time on the day prior to surgery.

And to add to that.... I am still a happy person like before. Just because I don't like food anymore doesn't mean I don't like all the other great things in my life.

I lost 14 according to the doctors scale, wearing jeans, multiple layers & a jacket. Normally I weigh in only wearing shorts & a tshirt. I was probably down 18-20 if you account for all the layers.

4-10-13 was my surgery date. I am almost a week out. I feel fantastic, like I didn't even have surgery. Problem is now I am battling RLS. Never had an issue before. Its terrible to the point I can't sleep. Anybody else battling with thus?

I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like a jerk so please don't take this as anything other than general concern for your success but why on earth if you are still on liquids would you try to eat garlic bread?? I am over 4 months post op and still haven't eaten something like that (I am not holier-than-thou, I have made my fair share of less than perfect choices). And soda? You need to get that out of your house if it is a trigger for you. I know it's hard to change, but if you want any sort of success from this surgery, you need to follow the rules. Not only will you not lose weight but you could seriously hurt yourself eating bread & drinking soda so early out.

I'm 3 weeks out now (3/20 surgery date) and have lost 20 pounds! But I've also been in a 1.5 week plateau. Ugghh. I know it will pass I just want to see the scale move again!

I've only tried the magi peach flavor, but that sh*t was HORRIBLE. Huge waste of $5.

My surgery was 3/20 and for the most part I feel normal. A little tired/winded after light activity and definitely need to sit down and rest more but almost all gas pains are gone. I have had no internal pain or pain from incisions. Some tightness or shortness when eating or drinking but I think that's from overdoing it - because 1 ounce of pudding is too much now, hahaha.

I'm new to this forum and wanted to joing the March group! I had surgery on March 20. So far things are going great!
For all the nervous people - my experience was so un-nerve racking leading up. I walked in to the operating room, chatted with the anesthesiologist, the surgeon. Luckily I felt relaxed and I think it really helped me. Just take a few breaths and know that everything will be great!

I had a very emotional non scale victory this weekend. It was a year ago this week that I took my 3 little ones to the Wisconsin dells for spring break, I remember being so embarrassed that I couldn't fit into the tube on the lazy river. I had to hold onto Tue outside of the tube. This past weekend and almost 4 months out from my surgery, I took my children to an indoor waterpark, I was astonished to see how easily the tube slid right over me, I literally started tearing up. Not only that but I went down the waterslides with my children multiple times. It definently paid off because I lost another 2 pounds just over the weekend for a total loss of 72 pounds. I thank god every day for this opportunity to start a new life.
