I'm a slow loser also and I've already cut out most carbs.

Meds and pouch protection?
I have been but no one seems to have a list. It's frustrating and like I said, I have no idea if that list is correct. My regular doc has never had a bypass patient. I don't want to change though. I actually really like my doctor. My surgeon is over 1 1/2 hours away in little rock and he's really great at calling me back. I just felt it would be awesome to have a list as a "to be sure" thing.

Meds and pouch protection?
So, I like my pouch. It's the coolest little pouch ever! I told my friend I had a pouch and she was like, Wow! Like a Kangaroo!! It's an odd yet cool visual. Anyway: Anyone have an extensive and accurate list of meds to avoid after surgery? I have this one...but it's just one I pasted together from all over the Internet. I'm not sure how accurate it is. Hm. Let me know if anything is just glaringly wrong here, I don't even know what half of them are: Medications to Avoid after Weight Loss Surgery Advil Aches-N-Pain Aleve Tablets & Caplets Alka Seltzer Alka Seltzer Antacid/Tablets/Cold Anaprox Advil Aleve Alka Seltzer Amigesic Anacin Ascriptin Asprin Anaprox DS Anacin Tablets/Caplets/Max. Grits
Mix the egg into the grits as it cooks, add fat free cream cheese or low fat cheese. you can amp up the Protein in a safe way. Grits, cream of wheat and oatmeal made me sick.

Tablets
I was taking them my 3rd day out from surgery. I have never been told to crush or break my pills. Ever. I did dissolve the pain pills....but that was just so they would work faster.

protein powders?
Actually, it's not. Whey Protein concentrate is before the whey protein isolate. That means that you aren't absorbing over half of that, from what I understand. "In a Protein Powder, you want whey or soy isolate. That is what is best absorbed. Whey concentrate is not absorbed as well. Avoid those protein shots, because they contain mostly collagen protein and that is not well absorbed at all." Here is what is in the Body Fortress Protein: "Super Whey Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate), Super Recovery Blend (Glycine, Creatine Monohydrate, Taurine, Threonine, L-Glutamine, Leucine, Valine, Isoleucine),"

I wanna scream!
It is hard. I don't go out to eat, I tell people the reality of my surgery. I ask for understanding and if I don't get it, I ignore it or I leave. Work loves potlucks. I just tell myself that I think pot lucks are nasty. The cake is harder to ignore...but it's never really been my friend. And once you start losing it won't be so bad. I got in capris I haven't been able to wear in YEARS. Seriously. I'm wearing them now. It's so worth it. Plus I bet that pizza was shaz nasty.

Weird symptoms?!
I've read this several times *I'm sure you're chewing enough and whatnot but this seems to be a real issue after GB* Difficulty swallowing (also called dysphagia) can be caused by eating too quickly, too much or not chewing food enough and can usually be fixed by avoiding these issues. now it said "usually" can be fixed, but not always. I'd call my surgeon.

Surgery is cancel :(
It's that Gelish kit! It's amazing. I'll never go back. They get so long I have to file them down!! Sometimes you can get a 20% off coupon. I just waited until I found one and ordered. Best investment ever. http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-SA-Site/default/Search-Show?prefn1=brand&prefv1=GELISH&brandLandingPage=true

Is it too late?
They tried to schedule mine and I asked for 2 weeks to start the diet. They gave it to me...but you know...not everyone has to do it. If you aren't terribly big, you might not need the diet. Did you call and ask?

EXCERISE IDEAS NEEDED
Yes, with summer coming it should be easy to find a pool to use. i bought an above ground a few years ago so I could exercise in peace. I wear a cami swim top and then boy shorts. Like, literally boys swim shorts. Why do they not have to show their thighs but we're supposed to? Hell no. I cut the mesh out and feel comfortable. Anyway, I had an acl reconstruction and the other knee is pretty bad too. I use the elliptical and it never hurts them. So if you have a gym or curves or something around, you might thy it and see. I found a gym closing and bought a commercial one for $600. It should last me a lifetime and it's so amazingly smooth riding.

Surgery is cancel :(
I bought the gelish kit at sally's and I've never looked back. As you can tell, I love my nails! The basix kit wasn't bad. I think I dropped $120 as an initial investment. I've since bought a few colors...but I rarely stamp them anymore...but if I do, I can just wipe it off with regular polish remover. You might consider it as a money saver. I do my own. Here's my pinterest nail file. All these are my nails. http://pinterest.com/nellabean/my-nails/

What do I need?
Honestly, I lived of flavored Water and Protein drinks. As soon as I could, i was on yogurt and refried Beans. chicken broth to thin everything. I also put split pea and brocolli and cheese Soup in the blender and then warmed them up. I found I could barely stand Protein...except for unjury. I couldn't stand the chicken soup one. ugh. It still makes me feel ill. Cream of wheat and eggs made me ill. i can now eat eggs. My tastes changed so dramatically. The best thing though....I've had head hunger...But I have not actually been hungry since surgery.

Dieting before WLS - Was it worth it?
Yes, it gives you the confidence boost that your body CAN lose weight. Also, that's 22 pounds you don't have to lose after. For me weight loss is slow.

What ya eating tonight?
Oh, and I had warmed slow roasted roast beef heated in the micro. I'm having a love affair with roast beef lunch meat at the moment. I haven't found a protein I can't eat yet. 2 oz with 1/2 a motz stick melted on it.

What ya eating tonight?
I think I have the coolest pouch ever, also. Mine has gotten sick off eggs *early out but can tolerate now* and avocado. Only.

Slipping ????
You're losing. No worries. And both of those are slider foods. *I consider cheese as one since it becomes pretty much liquid paste when you chew it* How much dense Protein can you eat?
