So sorry you are discouraged, but I totally understand. I will also be eight weeks out on Monday and having similar results. I, too, am so afraid this will fail--like every single other attempt I have made at losing weight, including the LapBand. My doctor assures my feelings are normal about that. As of today I've lost a total of 34 lbs since I started the liquid diet in November. I was stalled for several weeks but was down 2.1 lbs this week. Hooray for that. I also exercise everyday, get in 60 grams of protein everyday and stay around 800 calories. I have found that sometimes increasing my calories to close to 1,000 for one day now and then seems to help get off a stall. Another thing I try to remember is that muscle weighs more than fat so the exercise contributes to that. I am able to wear smaller clothes and I do feel better physically so I look at those things as victories and try to focus less on the scale numbers. I do have faith in the process and am determined to keep on keeping on. We will succeed! It's just a matter of time. Good luck to you and everyone else on this journey. This is true we all have Stalls or Plateaus it happens to everyone, so many people get Fixated on this and lose sight of everything! Me I'm thinking health wise not so much the Number (but that is a +) The scale is a Big Distraction to People!.

Ill have a few Water crackers with my cheese or lunch meat. On my plan I am allowed starches/carbs after Protein. I get my protein in so a few crackers are fine to make it easier. Rem. all plans are different. If you are unsure check with your dr or NUT.

My wedding ring fits but a little snug before surgery. I had surgery 12/17/12 and on 12/31/12 it fell off my finger onto the floor. None of my rings fit. I had to borrow a size 6 from my neighbor. Lol

Awesome job Tink! I hit 25# mark yesterday! I haven't worn my wedding ring in 8 years-YIKES! Every year, I will lose the weight and then I won't have to get it sized. So, I can only imagine how excited you are! Congrats!!!
I think I will have to lose 85#s before mine will fit.

D of S was Dec 18, 2012 -Weight 215---Jan 23, 2013-weight is 190 at 5'4
it has been 2 years that I HAVE NOT WORN MY WEDDING RING
and today I put it on and it FIT!! I'm very HAPPY!!
my CLothes are all loose, so I am in need of some New Clothes!!
and Under Garments lol I'm just "HANGING IN THR" LOL
I decided I would do Goals not by Big Big Numbers but in 3 Increments maybe 4
time will tell on the 4 one (Main Goal is 140) the (4th would be 120), but 140 is good!!

I tried typing earlier and kept falling asleep. I made it thru, yippee. Pain, ugh, horrible. Can't seem to get a nurse for pain med. I push and push button and no reply. Thinking its a bum button cuz no reply whatsoever..

Thank your everyone. I have a headache and was able to get all the mag citrate down, grape flavor. I think I'm slightly dehydrated haven't been doing well w Water. But they will take care of that tomorrow

Hello, new here. Had surgery 12-11-12. Have been in & out of hospital but have lost 54lbs to date. Every day is a struggle for me, but finally I feel like things might be looking better. Hopefully if I don't end up in hospital I can start purees in 2 weeks. Yay for me =)!!!!

I just celebrated four years and 110 pounds lost on Dec. 30. I encourage you to maintain some support and never become complacent. If a food addiction has been part of your life, do not allow something else (like alcohol) to take its place. Use this tool/gift with wisdom and respect!

I am post op 4 years 8 months. I still eat Protein first, Fluid intake etc. however I still get sick if I even remotely try to eat the foods I'm not supposed to.
I was 280 pounds post surgery and am now 155. In my ideal world I was happy at 145, but am at a healthy weight for being (42 this month) and almost 5'8".
Keep strong, journal daily activities etc and when you have the urge to do something you shouldn't, walk away from it and occupy your mind with something else and the feeling will pass.

As fun as this topic is, I was kind of scared of it at first, but seeing as surgery is tomorrow... here I go!
I can't wait to...
Stop pretending I'm afraid or don't like things bc I don't feel comfortable or won't fit (roller coasters/ dancing/ planes)
Not be so winded when walking/ climbing/ hiking
Set a good, healthy example for my students
Find a man who loves me and not a boy who is okay being with me as long as no one really knows
Have a baby (one day
Not be embarrassed and feel like everyone is thinking "what is she doing here?" at "regular" clothing stores
Be as beautiful as my sis
Not sweat so much (hopefully- maybe it's just the genes lol)
Buy CHEAP, CUTE clothes
Be PROUD of my eating habits
LIKE to exercise
Travel, take a celebratory trip
Not have food as my hobby (what will be my hobby? lol)
Feel more comfortable in heels (is that possible?)
Cross my legs without holding my foot to pin them together *ugh*
Not worry about sliding into a booth, sitting in stadium chairs, etc.
Not knocking people out of the way when trying to squeeze through some where
Have better control and agility of my body
Feel better
Be normal
NEVER BE IN THIS STATE AGAIN!!!!

Hi every one, today sunday I start day two Clear Liquids only,my gosh yesterday was hard! I'm light headed, hungry, and the broth and sugar free Jello, sugar free juice is making me naseoues! Its like drinking Water with very little flavoring, enough to makeyou sick... I have surgery mon so I just need to push through tomorrow any suggestions? I breezed through the Protein Shake liquid diet, but this clear liquid over sucks for a lack of better terms!
