Dark Urine
So I'm about a little over a month post and I'm feeling and doing great with about 52lb drop so far. I'm getting my protien and my Water in everyday but I find that my urine is DAAAAARK, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen or if I'm living in a constant state of severe dehydration. I'm getting about 70-90g of protien as per my Dr and 64-96oz of water... So what gives?

Dumb Dumb Move
- Dumb Dumb Move
I had a half cup of spinach souffle and 3 organic chicken pot stickers... It wasn't the food that cause me to dump but rather the speed that I eat my first few bites that did it. I was able to recover quickly and finish my meal off without any problems- Dumb Dumb Move
Suuuuuuuuper!... So this evening in a rush to eat I ate my food faster,... Much faster then I should have and you guessed it... Dumping occurred. Silly silly move Mr. Potato Head!... My poor wife who had never seen me dump before was concerned so I took this as an opportunity to teach her as to the finer points of dumping. The good thing is that it wasn't the food as te moment I felt better(which was about 5 minutes later, the benefits of being a fast dumper) I was able to return to my meal and finish it off without any problems once I slowed down. Oh well, live and learn ... And learn some more, or again- My Fitness Pal
I'm speedydvr on there... Add me if you guys wish! Take care everyone!- Oh The Pain
That's the best thing we can think of since everything else seems to be functioning as normal. There really weren't any signs that day, however the next day(yesterday) and today I've got what I could best describe as a sour stomach- Oh The Pain
See at first I too thought I was dumping but apparently it wasn't that. I did call my Dr and spoke with him and from what I described he feels that I may have progressed a bit too quickly, after all I'm only 21 days post op and have lost 40+lbs, I'm eating soft foods but he thinks that maybe my gut is saying whoa and I should return for a few days to liquids/puréed stuffs or until these symptoms pass. Figured out what might have been the culprit though, I made a pitcher of decaf iced tea and drank the whole thing in the course of a day and I don't believe my pouch or guys like that much tannin. I still feel like I have a sore stomach but at least the nausea has left.- Oh The Pain
So I woke up this morning feeling fine, had breakfast of my protein drink and then a mid morning snack of cottage cheese as usual, then about around lunchtime I started to develop these odd pains that felt as if they were coming from my bowels. Not gassy pains or such but cramp like, except then I started feeling as if I was gonna vomit, not vomit just the excess salivation but after that I felt better... Any ideas?- Where Is Everyone From?
I'm from New Bern, NC... had my surgery at WakeMed in Cary, NC by Dr. Jon Bruce- I Am Addicted To My Scale
I do the same thing... It's a huge morale boost seeing the numbers drop even it it's only a pound a day that I've found myself addicted to the scale. Truth of the matter is not how many numbers come off the scale in a day but rather how you feel after all you can't control the scale you can only control how you handle every new day of the new you. At least that's what my wife tells me- To Feel Full
Same here, I feel as if I'm going through the motions yet I'm not really hungry as I should be but I'm forcing myself to eat every 2 hours as recommend by my nutritionist in the correct amounts. I'm keeping track of my Protein and Water intake through an excel spreadsheet so that I can show trends and statistics to my dr when I see them next. To top it off it sounds as if my pouch is having a gran finale to a fireworks show with the amount of rumbling it's doing- Plateued :(
So I had RnY on 7/30 and have gone from 326 down to 292.... I know that weighing myself everyday isn't a valid measurement however I've noticed that I'm no longer dropping the pounds. I've just recently as of yesterday started going back to the gym doing simple cardio, gentle yoga and light aqua aerobics. I'm hoping that this is only a temporary pause.... Right?... I've been doing so well don't want to get discouraged- Swimming
That's what I figured too and my doctor called me back to confirm that as long as they aren't open im fine to do so... Doggie paddle, not Michael Phelps it... Lol- Swimming
How long before I should start swimming...my doctor released me for "light" excerise on day one but didn't say whether or not swimming was allowed... And by swimming I really mean more like senior water aerobics and floating... Lol- Hells Yeah!
Less than 10 days post op (7-30-12) and I'm down to 293.5 from 326!!!!!! Sorry just really excited... You may return to you're normally scheduled activities now )
