  1. These posts tear at my heart and really make me angry. You all seem like wonderful woman and I can't imagine people not wanting to be friends or with you. Society hates us for being fat then hates us for succeeding. The green monster is a terrible thing. We can sit here and say they are not worth it but that fact is the hurt still lingers. I do think counseling of some sort will help. I think I need to start to deal with the emotional piece too. I have wicked body image issues. Poor hubby. You will get your life back and find new friends. Continue to be strong. I'm always here too :-).
  2. Same here. I'm already sagging and only down 50. But I'm in some size 14s. I'm ok with the sagging. Good luck.
  3. Yay! My doc and NUT both laugh about Wendy's chili. I guess it really is pretty good for you. They both ok it and say they can't get over recommending a fast food.
  4. Mine started about then too. I was thinking I was crazy. Now I know it's hunger.
  5. Chocolate I've done that too. Oops lol. Just a bite.
  6. Salt it's a horrible thing. So's not pooing. I know tmi but both can cause me to gain two pounds overnight.
  7. Anyone else get actually hungery at this stage? I am getting my protein in and not drinking with meals. Some days I am OK but lately I have actually been getting hungry. So I drink more water. It helps a bit but I thought I had a few more months of grace period. Is it just me? I wake up hungry.
  8. LOL I was just thinking this. And then there are the dogs. They all love my doggy bags. I will say I had this problem more at the beginning trying to figure out what the heck to eat. Now, I can eat all the yogurt so there is less waste.
  9. ALL THINGS IN MODERATION!!! Yes, one is better than four slices! lol We all need to learn to live a normal life and a little cheat now and then does not hurt.
  10. You have made it so far! The waiting is the hard part. Once you are approved (and you will be!) time will FLY!!! Good luck to you!
  11. I haven't gone 'hog wild" but I will taste or take a chuck of about anything. However, Hubby and I went to Applebee's the other day. I ate way too many chips and salsa. I felt like crap for at least two hours. Thank goodness I just got soup with it or I would have been in bad shape. But the salt was soooo good. Darn PMS!
  12. YEA Congrats!! That's a major milestone. Just think how big a 25 pound turkey is!!!
  13. Jenn, Well said and I am soooo happy for you! Congrats on the progress you have made in your journey. You should be so proud!!!
  14. I had one from pain meds. It can show up even after you stop taking them since they are still in your system. I was told I could take benedryl but I would call your Dr ASAP to be safe. It could be from something else. Hope it goes away soon.
  15. Welcome Ladies!!! And I agree with MalyssaSue, I am also two months out and I think it was a great decision. My advice is take it day by day. The hardest thing to overcome is wanting to rush everything: the weight loss, the food we eat, how fast can we get back to daily life, etc. This is a life changing process and it takes time for our bodies and our minds to adjust. Also, try to remember this is YOUR journey. I struggle with this all the time. I can't compare me to others since we are all on different paths but all hope to reach the same goal to be healthy. We are all here for you so never hesitate to ask a question or reach out for support. The great folks here have brought me in off a "ledge" a few times. Good luck!
  16. You are still healing and your nerves are not 'working' yet. You both sound like you are on the right track. Measure and you will be fine. Eventually, the full feeling will start with the healing process. I rem the first time I had bowl of chicken soup and felt it. I was about two weeks out. Good luck to you both.
  17. I started Protein shakes week two but all drs. are different so check. During the clear liquid phase I was doing unjury chicken broth & strawberry drink for protein & liquid. TLP: Most Dr. don't recommend fruit for a while. I think I could add it at the pureed/soft phase. I went really slow because of the sugar and dumping risk. I still eat very little of it. Good luck
  18. SIX HOURS!!! WOW The car killed me after surgery. I was pretty ok otherwise but the car just made me feel awful. I was off pain meds for a week but at my two week appointment I needed them again. Good Luck to you! It will get better.
  19. Dana, That's awesome she knows both! Also, it is really good you lost two pounds in five days. It means you can lose you just need to find the right trigger. :-)
  20. Starting Weight: 275 DOS 11/19/2012: 263 Today: 227 I need two more pounds for 50 overall! I hope I can do it this week!
  21. Ill have to check out Wii. I've been meaning too. Thanks I've been feeling like crap at night too. I'm thinking over doing it at dinner. Not the amount do much but dinner is my main meal and not a shake or lunch meat and cheese or garden burger type thing. Maybe look at your good log???
  22. Oh I can eat it there's just never really room if I try to get all of my protein in. I can eat almost anything which makes it hard too. So far no dumping. Which is good and bad.
  23. Please flog me with brownies!! LOL Rem. the floggings will continue until morale improves!
