  1. Saw the surgeon today and I guess I lost track of time. Here I was thinking I'm 2 months post op. but I'm only 6 weeks. Lol. I know I know. Technicality. Anyway, I am down 24lbs and he asked me if I felt full. I told him now. He told me I needed to start eating more solid foods. Like chicken breast. ( not the mushy chicken salad I make). And steak. Etc. I have been a little scared to try it.
  2. I was able to have oatmeal at my softfood stage. When I was able to have yogurt, cottage cheese and Beans. But as you know. Every surgeon is different. Check with them first.
  3. It does make soup a little thicker. And you can not heat it higher than 130 degrees. But I mix it in everything. Greek yogurt, tuna, chicken salad. Crystal light.
  4. I buy powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury from online. It is 21 grams of Protein for one scoop and there is no aftertaste. Dissolves pretty good.
  5. I love it! I use the unflavored and chicken soup flavor. Versatal enough to use in so many things.
  6. I put unflavored protein powder in my water with crystal light. Also you could purée tuna and add unflavored protein powder.

  10. You aren't alone in the wtf's...... But it will get better. And you need to focus on the positives. 24lbs is awesome! Food is a hard thing to part with because you still need it to live. Unlike cigarettes.... Just have to keep food under control don't let it control you! Good luck! You can do this!

  16. Figure out your priorities. You Are making changes to have a healthy life for you and your family. Will he fit into this new healthy lifestyle? This road isn't easy And you won't need other outside stressors bringing you down. Only you can make this decision for you and your family. Good luck. Definately get a positive support network and do you!!
  17. No my dr recommended injury so I've used that. I didn't try any flavored other than chicken. For regular Protein drinks I use RTD 51. It's a premade Protein shake. 51 GRams of protein. It's good.

  20. I'm 42. Had RNY revision on 6/28. Lost 22 lbs. its slow but it's moving. I'm afraid to fail so I have to keep up my routine. I try to avoid sitting at the dinner table when the family is eating. It's just hard on me. But it's getting easier daily! We will be successful at this!
