  9. I was prescribed zofran for the nausea. Otherwise walk, drink water, walk, drink water. It took awhile for me to feel normal, but started feeling better about 2 weeks out. Good luck!

  13. Hang in there. 60 pounds is fantastic. You may not be able to see it yet, but we all have a lot to lose. I have only lost a total of 47 pounds. Feel good about yourself. You have came a long way! Try and find creative meals to cook with what we can eat. They have a dummies cook book that I have heard great things about. In a month from now just think of how much more weight you will have lost! You will see it in yourself soon, I am sure of it.
  14. We have been waiting to hear if you got it! Congratulations, you deserve it!
  15. Wow, u look fabulous! Have fun at the game:)
  16. What does your doc say about calorie intake?
  17. I would start off with walking. At least for a week or so, then if u feel good about it add something else. As far as protein, I am not the person to ask. My doc has a different approach. He did not give me any requirements other than to eat only when I am hungry and have protein first. He used to count protein, but found that the weight loss is greater if u listen to your body instead if trying to force protein when u aren't hungry. In fact, he said no protein shakes. The only protein eaten should be naturally found in foods. Enough of me though. DLCoggin would be the person to ask about protein. He is the WLS guru:)
  18. Congrats! It must feel great:)
  19. Sorry just saw your previous posts. Each doc is different, but I was on clear liquids for a month. Doc said don't worry about protein right away. I hope u figure this out soon. Good luck and get well:)
  20. I hope u get well soon. Maybe it was the tube u drank? Not sure how good those are for u. There are quite a few posts about those having collagen(?) Protein which our bodies are not able to process. Or maybe your stomach can't tolerate them well. How far out r u?
  21. Yes, one week prior I had to pay 1000 dollars. U can ask your surgeon's office, they should be able to tell u.
  22. Crunch o's are good. Bbq is my favorite. Bought them at dr office, but u can buy them online too. They melt in your mouth and they have 12 grams if protein.
  23. I love quinoa and it is better than pasta but doesn't that have a lot of carbs as well?
