  1. The pain will pass but keep the memory.
  2. Same here. Dry roasted Edamame and almonds work fine for me. They both give me the crunch factor I used to crave.
  3. Mine wanted 5 weeks, so I took it. It helped me get my mind right about eating before I went back to work ( where a lot of bad eating habits got started) Good luck to all you "LOSERS"
  4. Way to go, I'm happy for you. As far as the pain, the 1st 2 days were a little rough. That was mainly due to the gas and bloating from the injected air. I had a little discomfort when I was released but nothing too bad. I actually never opened the pain medication they sent me home with. You'll be fine and whatever pain you do experiance is well worth it. I don't remember the pain but I do remember the 90 + lbs. I've lost. The best of luck to you.
  5. 5 months out and still have the problem. I'll be sitting there and all of a sudden the pain shows up. No warning, it just hits me. I have to stand up for a while to get rid of it.
  6. I was told that when i switched to and could tolerate "normal" foods I could take pills. That was about 2 months for me. I,ve not had any problems yet.
  7. What the heck is Quinoa?
  8. I like dry roasted edamame, if it's ok with your doc. 1/4 C. 4g Fat 1g Sugar 14g Protein Gives me that crunch factor as well. I live on the stuff.
  9. I live on beef jerky, edamame and carbmaster yogurt. Used to like eggs, now they make me sick. Sounds like you have a good WL to me. Hang in there, you're gonna be very happy with the results.
  10. before long you won't even know you're wearing it. You will definately get a better nights sleep. Good Luck
  11. I tell everybody that will listen. To me, it's no different than being treated for any other condition. When I get a toothache, I go to the dentist and get it fixed. I had one co-worker who I haven't seen in a while ask me what happened, how much weight have you lost, how long did it take and how did you do it? This one I told, "well I've been doing a lot of dancing". She gave me a odd look and walked away. Oh well.
  12. I've eaten Fage and Chobani with no problems. I usually add a little vanilla protein powder to them.
  13. They look great. I will try this. I wondered what awarded meant. lol
  14. Wow that blows me away. Why would you have you insides cut, twisted and moved around and then eat 2 pcs. of pizza and a empanada 2 weeks out? I don't feel full or hungry as of yet, so I weigh and measure everything that goes down the pipe. When I first hit these forums. I read a post from a woman stating " she was amazed that she could still eat a whole 6 inch sub in one sitting" I was amazed that she would try. Glad to see your back on track. We've all been through too much to fall back into bad habits. Good luck and keep up the good work. Sorry for the preach.
  15. Best thing you've ever done for yourself. I'm happy for you. Good Luck!
  16. I kept 1 pair of pants and 1 shirt so I could do a befor and after pic. After that I'll use the pants to make a tent for the kids.
  17. Have you had the surgery yet? I'm from SE Mich. and had mine April 30th. Couldn't be happier.
  18. Are you getting enough Protein and eating the protein first? My Nut pounds that into my head all the time. The protein releases some sort of hormone that tells our head that we're full. Hope this helps.
  19. Yes, it will change. Concentrate on getting your protein ( I know it's hard ) and don't worry so much about the fruit & veggies. It really does get better every week. Just don't overdue anything and you'll be fine. Congrats and good luck
  20. Get sick of hearing this? I am. I know people mean well but geez. My boss seems to feel he has to eat lunch in my office. Before the "cuttin" we went out every day. He's having more withdrawal pains then I am. Anyhow, now he'll bring in something and, "you should be able to eat this". "Thankyou Doctor/Nutritionist boss, but I can't" Finally I just started saying, "Oh, I tried that and it made me sick". Well, we'll see what "I'm able to eat today at lunch" Sorry, just a rant.
  21. Pizza and Carrot Cake or Carrot Cake and Pizza. No particular order.
  22. Got a answer from the Nut. She said those numbers are exactly where she wants me.
  23. Thanks to everybody
  24. Had surgery April 30th. started at 500 cals. At 4 weeks I was bumped to 900 cals, 90gs. carb and 40gs. fat. Hope this helps. As a matter of fact, I just e-mailed my Nut. with those numbers and asked if I was still all right. If anything changes, I'll re-post.
