  2. I had a dozen almonds, three Ritz crackers, and a slice of sharp Cheddar. Mmmm

  4. I wake up excited for another day! I can eat foods I love in small amounts! I can RUN! I feeeeeeel beautiful! People who have known me my entire life have been double-taking looks bc they don't recognize me! I'm doing my first 10k Saturday!!
  5. Tonight I had 3oz of baked chicken. I coated it in rosemary garlic bread/cheese crumbs. Yummy!!!!
  6. I started my running with the couch to 5k...it's amazing!! Saturday I will do a 10k!! The c25k app is 9 weeks and then there's a second one if you want to increase the distance called Bridge to 10k... good luck!! NOTHING HAS MADE ME FEL AS STRONG AS RUNNING!!!
  7. I bought Target brand lemon...like a really bad, old, flat 7-up. Ewwwww I remember plugging my nose and chugging it!

  9. Bellasmom, for me, I find there is 7-10 days every single month where I am stalled. I am 6 months post op and it has happened since October. Yes, weight loss in the big picture is a science, but during that stall everything could be equal and I will NOT shed an ounce!! Keep pushing through. It will fall off at its own pace!! Good luck and congrats on FIFTY pounds!!
  10. Extreme pressure in my chest when I eat too much!! When I run, I can drink the 16oz in an hour easy...if my tummy is empty, I can drink water quickly.

  13. 6 months ago today I was shuffling around the halls of Northeast Medical Center as best I could after lifesaving/life changing surgery. Now one of my biggest goals will be achieved next Saturday when I complete Charlotte's Race Fest 10k...on my 34th birthday!! What's your favorite or most astounding non-scale victory??

  16. Caprese Salad! Heirloom Tomato, home made mozzarella, basil leaves, and balsamic vinegar... too delicious.
  17. Last night I had a turkey burger with brie, apples, and pineapple wrapped in lettuce. I ate 1/4 of the burger (about 2oz of meat precooked) and it was heavenly!!!
  18. Blue Cross guidelines are *18 months post op at least. *6 months at a stable weight *Skin issues resulting from loose skin.
  19. "Breaking up with food" was the hardest part for me post surgery... And as with any break up, it gets easier over time... until you wonder one day what in the world was I ever thinking!! You'll be fine!
  20. Oh, I'm 6 months post op, but I've never been able to eat a tortilla before...I avoided them for many months.
  21. I had a fresco soft taco from Taco Bell. First time since surgery I could keep a tortilla down!!
  22. Grilled pork chop and fresh tomato sliced with balsamic glaze. mmmmm
  23. It is for me. I'm almost 6 months out and anything that Protein dense doesn't take much to fill me up.
  24. I'm down 85#!! I think about that number and say, "WOW!! I actually did that!!" I have a lot to go...my RNY was 10/05/12.
