  1. My dr said 100% he would postpone my surgery if I weren't back to my initial consult weight. I wasn't planning on making him prove it! I did three days pre op of liquids only. I lost the 6# I had gained.
  2. Sorry, the Nut comment was meant for Worm. My bad!!
  3. We are all going through normal feelings here. It's normal to be frustrated when you stall. Weight loss IS a science over time. It's calories in versus out, but I challenge anyone to test this. Sometimes our bodies are stubborn!! They will break a plateau in what seems like random times! Sometimes our mouths are stubborn, and everyone can say things that are misinterpreted. We are all fighting a battle here. The ONLY casualties should be the fat cells and large sizes- not egos or self images. I pray for everyone's success here.
  4. Yes, please please heed the advice of everyone here!!! You seem to be your only advocate at this point! Go to the ER!! Deal with how crappy your after care is later. Take care and you're in our prayers!
  5. My out of pocket max had to be reached before insurance would pay 100% of anything billed. Although $1500 is my deductible, the surgery was roughly $46,000.00 just for the hospital. They (the hospital) were wise to the fact that the insurance would require my Out of Pocket Max to be reached before paying 100% of the bill...it didn't matter if they (BCBS) paid 80% or 90%...MY portion of that (20%) would have well exceeded the $1500 difference, so the hospital collected it up front. The max out of pocket ran concurrent with my deductible...in other words the $1500 deductible counted towards the Out of Pocket Max. Some insurance companies don't count it together. The hospital was going to be SURE they collected their monies FIRST.
  6. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. My out of pocket max is 3000 and my deductible is 1500. I had to pay $3000 out of pocket prior to insurance stepping in. I paid the $3000 straight to the hospital the week before my surgery!! I completely misunderstood out of pocket max versus deductible.
  7. So, I'm four months and three days post op. I've not had the first inkling of a complication...what would the chances be of something going awry at this point...or any future point- all things being equal...
  8. I love French onion soup!! I'm four months post op.
