  1. Have you tried reaching out to any of the other moms in the team?
  2. Woo hoo! As long as you're feeling good and are healthy that's all that matters.
  3. Thanks for the recipes ladies! D let me know how yours comes out
  4. Whoa Whoa Whoa. There's a pouch friendly CHEESECAKE recipe?!? Where is it?
  5. Thanks (again). You're a valued member of this board. You always seem to have what we need. THANK YOU!
  6. You look like you've lost quite a bit already! Woo hoo!
  7. If I drink too fast I get like a tightening feeling. But I drink water fine. Sometimes I want chug but hold myself back.
  8. Isn't this scary? I don dump on anything, I don't get full. Is it possible to have a pouch that empties quicker than most?
  9. Today was supposed to be my first day on soft foods/purée. It was meant to be an exciting day but I STILL don't get full. Granted, I'm NOT hungry but I don't feel full. It's scary to me. I think my pouch is defective. -___-
  10. I think it depends where they're at I have one in the back of my neck and I kept it in. Ask your surgeon, and let them know that they're pretty much semi permanent and it's a hassle to take out. Maybe they'll be lenient. Good luck!
  11. Like nothing really lol. I was scared but I knew if I wanted some sort of relief I'd have to at least try. But now whenever I feel I must go, I have a spoonful without cringing. Lol
  12. My gas pain was something else. I literally broke down crying on day 5, which also happened to be the last day I had gas pains. My mom gave me a spoonful of milk of mag. That stopped the pain immediately and then a few hrs after that I had my first BM post op. What a relief.
  13. Wait so you guys aren't allowed to treat yourself once in a blue to a taste of your faves? Or are these just the foods you've decided to eliminate forever on your own?
  14. I have 3 in my left ear, 2 in my right, both nipples, a microdermal in the back of my neck and the VCH. And to be honest the most painful was the my cartilage piercing on my left ear..seriously. And no the VCH didn't hurt. It was a pinch that lasted about 5 seconds (maybe less) and then that's it. Like nothing ever happened. Lol
  15. I have no tattoos. But I have 9 piercings. After surgery I managed to put all my jewelry back on except my VCH. Almost two weeks out and I haven't been able to bend over enough to try to put it in (sorry if it's TMI). I guess once I'm healed I'll try and if no luck I'll have to get it re-done. Boo hoo!
  16. Wow. Congrats on the weight loss. That's impressive. How has it been post op for you? Any regrets? Miss any foods? Any tips or tricks that work for you?
  17. Can I jump in and ask for one too...Please
  18. Thank you all for your input. The reason I had asked was because I'm 10 days post op and I've been following my diet to a T (except the Protein, I've been really having a hard time there). I have a box of SF Popsicles and I have my little cousin staying with me this week so I'd gotten her a box of regular sugared Popsicles. Well I guess my grandma assumed that they were the same because she emptied the reg pops in my SF box and of course when I went to grab one it was a regular one. All I kept thinking was wow this SF pop is yummy. Then of course a little while after i found of what happened and come to find out I'd just had 30g of sugar in one sitting. I was waiting for the dumping to start. But 3 hours later and I'm as fine as I was prior to eating the pop. Is this weird?
  19. I was curious to know when you first experienced dumping syndrome, how did you know it was dumping syndrome?, how far post-op were you?, and what were your specific symptoms? I'm just curious to know what to look out for...
  20. That was my strategy too. I only took pain meds at night and got to sleep through.
  21. I live in NYC and I think it's a good idea. Before my surgery I'd always get the larger size not because I really wanted a huge amount of Coke but because it was always cheaper to get the next size up (sometimes .25 sometimes .50, but always cheaper). And by the time i was holding this huge drink i decide I'm not going to waste it so I end up drinking it and therefore consuming way more calories than I intended. If the ban goes through, then people will be limited in the amount they're able to buy so they will probably just consume a smaller portion rather than paying again for another cup. Something like that would have been useful to me years ago...but hey, better late than never.
