  1. I went through several weeks of tears and frustration. I regretted my decision everyday to do this. I am now 4 months post op and love every minute of it. Hang in there and it will pass!
  2. I have pcos, but have not taken metformin in several years. I am still having Polly cystic ovaries since the surgery. My doc has threatened to put me back on BC, but I am hopeful things will even out. BC always makes me gain weight.
  3. For me it was when I could not adequately clean personal areas in the shower. Once I hit that I was done and had my surgery about a month later. My weight gain has been due to medication so my approval was quick and easy!
  4. Talk with your doctor about it. UTI are common after rny. My doc has been on special meds after I got two UTI in one month.
  5. I started on the strips in the hospital and now I use the gel caps.
  6. I have noticed that I stall on the scale, but inches are coming off. I have been in a stall for the past week, but I was able to comfortably fit into some new jeans that were tight a week ago. Maybe have your trainer measure and try not to get wrapped up in the scale.
  7. I think it would be great. I would say pack it with protein and low salt and sugar. Also please make some with regular sugar - some of us are allergic to the artificial sugar.
  8. For me it was getting off of my steroids which I have been taking for five years for rhuematoid arthritis. It is what was making me gain the weight and when I went to my last doctor visit she said my swelling and joints looked the best she had seen them in years. I am 32 years old and wanted to live my life free of pain and getting off a drug that has bad side effects and is bad on your body.
  9. I drank a lot of instant breakfast for my liquid diet. It seemed to hold me over, but now I can't stand the taste of it!
  10. Check with your doctor. I am dealing with my 2 bladder infection this week. It is common after the surgery.
  11. I would bet it is dehydration that is causing te headaches.
  12. They can give you continuous bcp to stop you from bleeding. I have had heavy periods all my life and the best decision I made was a hystorectomy about three years ago.
  13. I would say if anything after post op I like spicer things now.
  14. Make sure you tell the surgeon. Last thing you want is complications during or after your surgery. It is better to wait a few days then get really sick. You might call your pcp and start on some antibiotics now.
  15. I checked webmd - but I am wondering if after RNY things are a little different.
  16. Can someone please give me an idea of what the symptoms are for start of gallbladder issues are?
  17. I loved my sippy cup. I had someone suggest it before surgery and they were wonderful the first few weeks. You are able to keep up with your liquid intake without think oh my goodness I have so much to drink. I also bought me some big pjs and stayed in those for about a week. They were button down on the top. It felt good to get out of the hospital gown in the hospital and feel a little normal.
  18. My hystorectomy was done by the robotic method and everything seemed to go just fine.
  19. That is my goal buy a bra any place and one that is pretty and sexy. I am tired of beige, white or black. I would like to have a bigger selection. When a bra costs 50 each it can be hard to have a selection.
  20. You can also try just plain ice. You get the crunchy feeling most of us crave after surgery and your fluids.
  21. I had my surgery June 5 so I am about three months out.
  22. I thought I was losing in my boobs, but no luck. Had to buy a bra last week and it is the same size. 42F - I am excited to get rid of these things just wish it was sooner than later. I am still wearing large shirts because of my chest. The shirts are really big every where except my chest.
