  1. My pre-op is tomorrow (09/20) ...I will let you know everything that they do. I know a part of it is registering at the hospital & having blood work done. My surgery is on October 15th.
  2. I feel the exact same way.. I am excited but sometimes my nerves get the best of me. Just scaring myself about going to surgery & waking up in pain!
  3. Sending thoughts & prayers your way for a peace of mind now & during your wls journey!
  4. Woot!! Woot!! Keep it up
  5. Congrats on your surgery date! I know just how exciting the news is!
  6. Congrats Lou! Sending thoughts & prayers for a speedy recovery! Keep us updated when you can
  7. I start my pre-op diet on Oct 1st... consists of protein shakes, broth, SF jello, SF popsicles, clear liquids. Suppose to make sure I get down 64oz of fluids a day. It is an all clear liquid diet.
  8. That sounds like a really good idea!
  9. My surgery is scheduled for Oct 9th at 8:00am. My nerves sometimes gets the best of me! Anyone else feel super anxious??
  10. If you can use only bariatric vitmains as these have the recommended daily allowance especially needed for our changed bodies. Using children's vitamins do not give you proper nutrients. Ask your nutritionist what he/she recommends. I use Celebrate bariatric vitamins. There is also Bariatric Advantage that make the vitamins. This is very important for us.
  11. You're almost done "waiting"! Congrats & many blessings!
  12. You look fantastic! Cheers to continued success!!
  13. I'm SO sorry about this happening to you. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is. However, like others have said everything happens for a reason so don't lose hope!! You can use this extra time to shrink your liver & have a smooth surgery in the days to come. (((HUGS))) to you!!
  14. Sending (((HUGS))) your way! I hope you get to feeling better soon
  15. Woot!! Woot!! That's fantastic news!
  16. Yes, you can start them now. I asked my nutritionist this same question. She said 100% of the daily recommended allowance is ok but don't take the amount recommended for AFTER weight loss (200%). I'm starting my vitamins before surgery too!
  17. Have you found anything inparticular that helps with the gas pains?
  18. Congrats on your upcoming surgery date!
  19. I agree with Jen... two weeks is way too long. I hope you get to "going" soon!!
  20. Happy to hear that your surgery went well & are at home resting! May God bless you with a speedy recovery. Congrats on being on the loser's bench!!
  21. Just dropping in to see how you're doing?
  22. Don't feel alone! I completely understand... My surgery is one month away & I have been eating like crazy. I think it has something to do with "thinking" I'm never going to be able to eat certain things again (or at least for a very long time). I'm trying to eat better but this past week has been full of bad choices.
