  1. Hello everyone! Sorry for my delay in posting. My surgery went well good on the 9th. No complications at all. I don't remember being wheeled into or out of surgery. I was really worried about post op pain & I had none. I stayed 3 nights in the hospital which consisted of walking & resting. I am able to tolerate liquids as if I didn't have surgery. I have to be careful not to guzzle fluids. I thought I would have trouble sipping but that's no issue. I'm gettining in popsicles, pudding, jello, Carnation Instant Breakfast, G2 gatorade & creamed soups. Is there something that I'm missing? I feel like I'm not getting enough of my fluids/protein in. (?) I wasn't given any instructions from discharge at the hospital. I know someone will come along & help me out here. Thank you for your insight!! Congrats to those how had surgery with me!!
  2. At the hospital. In pre-op waiting for them to get me!
  3. I'm not sleeping. I'm a nervous wreck!
  4. BIG HUGS to those of us having surgery in the morning!! God bless us with a safe surgery & speedy recovery!
  5. You will be here before you know it! I have been reading everyone's posts & excited to be on the loser's bench. Now the time is here! Thank you for the well-wishes! I will be returning them to you sooner than you think!
  6. I'm making myself sick too! Worrying constantly! I'm really scared of the pain. I wont sleep tonight either! HUGS to you
  7. My surgery is Tuesday & my mind is running wild too! Its nerves
  8. Cooksie: Are you getting overly nervous yet?
  9. My surgery is Tuesday & I'm a bundle of nerves!! Almost to the point I'm making myself physically sick. Please say a prayer for me, thank you!!
  10. All surgeons are different but a majority of them DO require a 2 week liquid diet. Your surgeon should let you know if one is required.
  11. My surgery is Tuesday morning too! Yes, I couldn't sleep last night wondering if I'm making the right decision. I think it's perfectly normal to be second guessing because this IS a MAJOR life change. I just told myself to hush & that we WERE doing this! lol
  12. Kat: I was about to lose my mind on day 8 so I talked to my nutritionist who said it is ok to have a small chicken breast & small salad with 1 tbsp of vingerette dressing ONCE a day. She said that will not interfere with the liquid diet. I have been doing that for the past 4 days & it has really helped my hunger. You might want to give it a try. I've lost 8 lbs in the past 12 days. My surgery is Tuesday!
  13. I rented a recliner because I've read that it is easier to sleep in until a couple to few weeks out. Its a really comfy one.
  14. I know!! We'll be on the loser's bench REAL SOON!
  15. Clairpooh: Were you in a lot of pain when you first woke up from anesthesia?
  16. Good luck to those having surgery tomorrow!! This time next week I will be on the loser's bench with you! Exciting!!
  17. YES, L Belle... I have had horrible headaches. ESPECIALLY the first few days. The 3rd day I thought I was going to have to go to the ER. Now, 7 days later they are getting better but still lingering around. I hope you get to feeling better soon! Just stay focused because there were a couple of days I thought I couldn't do it. It's a huge adjustment. Blessings!
  18. Thoughts & prayers to you Anewre! You CAN do it... "no one ever said it will be easy, they just said it will be worth it!!" ...Stay focused
  19. I'm with Vicki! I cant wait to feel like you do! Its an exciting time.. just an adjustment that I'm positive is perfectly normal. Keep your head up & on the path of success!!
  20. Congrats on your surgery date! I know just how excited you are to finally have a date!
