I haven't been back to this site for a while and of course I am because I'm struggling...I know what I have to do...I just can't seem to keep motivated. I'm up about 23 pounds from my goal that I did hit...for about 3 hours!!! LOL I'm in a support Facebook page and it seems like a lot of us are really struggling and even talking about getting re-sleeved...I don't think I would do that but am quite curious...I mean I thought I had 75% of my stomach removed...would it even be safe?

I loved refried Beans and salsa melted cheese and sour cream for mushy foods. Packs some good Protein with that.

'significant others' will often go for the soft spot when in the midst of an argument, or breaking up...or just wanting to lash out. Just know that if something else about yourself was an issue, he would have gone for that as well. If I was your age, I'd have done plastics as well. I opted not to because the skin sag is not horrible in that it doesn't interfere with my normal activities plus I've had children and I'm nearly 58 years old. Oh..and one more thing. Men my age I have found, are just so happy to be getting 'some' that they couldn't care less about some sags and scars. Besides..they have also passed their 'sell by' date as well.

I had felt this way too and found products that I love!!! All natural drink mixes that give you all that you need to be awake and alert without caffeine or the crash! This product changed my life and I think will help a lot of other patients. I actually was sleeping on my lunch breaks and slept through a meeting one day several months after my surgery. My co-workers knew where I was and figured I needed the sleep more than the meeting. Ouch! I was a walking zombie. I started the lights on drink and didn't yawn again for 6 weeks!!! Me too! Best thing I ever did!

I always said I would have photos of me and my daughter together, because I have very few of my own mother. My mom HATED her picture taken. She would very rarely be in them, and mostly only candid shots taken before she could object. When she died I scrambled to find all the pictures I could of her, and there wasn't many. Therefore I always said I would do better by my own daughter, because once we are gone that is one of the only thing left for our survivors. I know I don't care how my mom looked in pictures, all I see is the mom I love and miss. Yet I have found that I too have problems being in the picture. I am hyper critical of my appearance, especially being morbidly obese. In the past five years we have had our pictures taken together twice. Well this weekend we had another round of pictures done. So far I have only received one sneak peek, but I am super thrilled with it. I am only half way to goal right now, but the pictures show such a difference. I love this shot and can only hope the rest are as good! Thought I would share...

See..... this is the difference between men and women. If a guy friend noticed I lost weight, he'd say.....What's up dude.....you been working out?? And if I answered, "some, and I got weight loss surgery too". Then he'd say ...."hey, whatever works dude".....!! That would be pretty much IT.
Oh, I forgot to add.....if that same guy happened to notice a female it would typically go the same with one little addition....."Wow girl you look good, wha'cha been up too?" girl responds: I had WLS.
guy answers: "Damn, it sure worked....you look hot!!"
See....being shallow does have it's upside....

I didnt have the band... but went right for the sleeve & had it done on Dec 11, 2013 - IT WAS AND HAS BEEN THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF!!!!! I havent felt this good in 10 years!! I just wish i had done it sooner...

Hey guys! Just wanted to post a quick update! I'm about 4.5 months post sleeve and I'm down 76 lbs as of this morning! It's crazy to think I had my surgery just in December, as it feels like it's been at least a year! That's a good thing! I feel great!! The first pic was from back in August and this "after" photo was taken this past weekend!

Good for her! She looks fantastic which is just a bonus, im sure her motivating factor had more to do with her health as most of us on here. Go Rosie!!!
