  1. I loved refried beans and salsa melted cheese and sour cream for mushy foods. Packs some good protein with that.
  2. I haven't been back to this site for a while and of course I am because I'm struggling...I know what I have to do...I just can't seem to keep motivated. I'm up about 23 pounds from my goal that I did hit...for about 3 hours!!! LOL I'm in a support facebook page and it seems like a lot of us are really struggling and even talking about getting re-sleeved...I don't think I would do that but am quite curious...I mean I thought I had 75% of my stomach removed...would it even be safe?
  3. I had felt this way too and found products that I love!!! All natural drink mixes that give you all that you need to be awake and alert without caffeine or the crash! This product changed my life and I think will help a lot of other patients. I actually was sleeping on my lunch breaks and slept through a meeting one day several months after my surgery. My co-workers knew where I was and figured I needed the sleep more than the meeting. Ouch! I was a walking zombie. I started the lights on drink and didn't yawn again for 6 weeks!!! Here is the link. www.dynamaxx.com/tpaterson They are yummy too so helps with the Water intake! .
  4. Hey Lisa how is it going for you? Haven't been on here in a long time!!
  5. Time to go shopping! You're swimming in your clothes! Great Job!
  6. Good for her! She looks fantastic which is just a bonus, im sure her motivating factor had more to do with her health as most of us on here. Go Rosie!!!
  7. I paid 6500 US for my surgery and 1000 for my trip to Mexico to have it done from Canada. Google Dr. Jose Castaneda Cruz in Peurto Vallarta. He was excellent and my friend just went down and got it done two weeks ago. No issues great facility!
  8. The gun was from someone elses costume and I was being goofy...a few too many!!! Lol
  9. It was a comic book theme so I was spider girl...not that there ever was a spider girl but the only costume that would fit that wasn't already taken. Two other supergirls were already spoken for. This year I may have to be the female version of the green lantern!! Or hopefully there will be another better thought out theme! LOL!
  10. Wow! $9000 sounds like a bargain for what you had done! I will keep his name in mind! Thanks for sharing!
  11. WOW! I totally think I am going to do this now!!! Once I finish losing of course! Your boobs and butt look great! How much was it for the transformation???
  12. Way to go Amy! You are catching up to me! My body has decided to take a rest! I refuse to use the S word! LOL
  13. I quit 1 week before surgery...unfortunately I started 6 weeks after...it was tough because I didn't have food to cope like I used to. I'm gonna try to quit again soon!

  17. I have gotten to the point of losing 52 pounds in just under 4 months. IT is this time frame that usually gets me! I could never stick to it! New habits formed? Nope I slip back into the old ones! I have been having pop which I KNOW I shouldn't have since it was a big addiction for me everyday!!! I am struggling with no weight lost in 12 days and know that I need to get my butt to the gym but I have no energy! I am getting my protien in and my water but have been indulging occasionally in chocolates and chips and popcorn. :s Initially I thought no big deal I'm down to an 8-10 in size, wearing my teenagers clothes and look better than I have in years but then I start this up and the weight has stopped. Starting to feel the self sabatoge kicking in. I know I have to do a recommitment week just life getting in the way and the mental game which I am currently losing! So you are not the only one and apparently neither am I hopefully I can gain some strength knowing that!
  18. There is a gal in my support group that shaved her head as she was losing in clumps. Her wigs are absolutely fabulous!!! I am losing close to what you are but I have very thick hair and curly. I'm hoping it will slow down and for now am trying to be blissfully oblivious to it but I agree if it is going to happen there isn't a whole heck of a lot you can do. Hang in there girl and if it is wigs we have to wear I'm getting myself a platinmu blond one!!! See if blondes really do have more fun!
  19. It said it was due to scar tissue. So it is how her body healed not necessarily the surgeons fault or the fact that it happened in Mexico. It is unfortunate but there are risks with all surgeries whether done in Canada or US or Mexico. I personally had my surgery in Mexico and had a very good experience and the rooms and hospital were a lot cleaner than ones I have seen in my own country. The government is upset saying it is costing them to fix surgeries but they have no idea how many people are going to Mexico with self pay. All of these people that are going are saving the government money because they are now able to lose the weight that is causing co-morbidities such as diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure problems that cause them to use health care and prescription medications. After losing the weight many patients have claimed to be medication free within a couple of months. This is just a piece of garbage journalism, how about a piece on the benefits???
  20. Best of Luck Janet! You will be on the losers bench before you know it!
  21. Lactolose and sennocot helped me.
