OMG!!! I can't chew gum????

Thanks McButterpants! I have a lot of things that I want to do too! I don't feel that the weight has held me back too much but I know my confidence will grow and I just really want to feel healthy and not so sluggish all the time. Finally broke the news to my parents the real reason I'm going to Mexico and was very surprised and relieved that they were somewhat supportive and didn't freak out. Considering it is a bariatric hospital and they specialize in these surgeries I feel like I'm in good hands. Don't even think I can get it done in Canada and if I could it would be expensive and with a BMI of 37 they aren't going to look at me. I have the apple shape and my mother is diabetic and I don't want to go down that path. I have just started showing signs of fatty liver disease and the only thing that is going to help that is losing the weight. My docotr here is supportive of it which helps convince my parents. At 41 I shouldn't be concerned with what they think but just got out of a long term marriage (21 year union) and they are my support.

Looks like there are quite a few Novembers! My boss just had hers done on October 1st and is doing well. Can't wait for mine!

November 16, Puerto Vallarta. Very excited! Starting weight 217 hope to be down 50 pounds for my daughters grad on May 16, 2014. Oh hell who am I kidding I want to be a buck 50 by then! LOL!

My boyfriend got the sleeve a year ago and has lost over 130 pounds. He is scheduled in to get excess skin removed and I am going to have the Sleeve done. Very nervous but so tired of the yo-yo dieting and seeing the pills my mother takes for her health. Doing it now while I'm still young and relatively healthy at 41. Would love to swap stories. 7 weeks out! We have been talking about this for a while and I just wish it was tomorrow!
