  1. is the only way to diagnose a flipped port is to find out when you get your fill I was banded june 9th and the area around the port is bruised and when I bend I c an feel the port and Ive been nervous so I keep touching the area I am going for my first fill tues so well see but I am still scared

  3. Where is everyones ports and how can you know if it is flipped mine is sore sometimes and when i bend over I can feel it I'm scared because obviously I cant see it and dont know if it is flipped and there has always been a faint bruise arount it.
  4. You begin the process again like liquids for a day or two then mushies day or two then solids just so yu can adjust to the restriction thats all I have no restriction either banded june 9th

Moderators or someone I was banded June 9th and have totally no restriction at all no fill yet isn't the band itself serve as some resistance its like until my fill I am going to gain weight this is frustrating how long from this point is it until you get restriction again it was good while it lasted let me know thanks

To all beginning of june bandsters have any gotten fills yet. and how is the restriction I have a fill july 19th and I can definatley feel less restriction since surgery they don't fill the band when they put it in the restriction is just from the stomach swelling but know it is not swollen and the hungry demon is now upon us I can't stand it trying to stay in control though but it is hard so let me know how all you june bandsters are doing thanks.

How much do they usually put in for the first fill I was banded june 9th I am going July 19th for a fill just these last couple days I am getting hungry i am on regular food now but I think the swelling from the operation has probably gone down and now the hunger is setting in I have been pretty good though up to now have lost 23 pounds just when there is more to choose from on the solid diet you tend to eat more I think any advice thanks.

I t took 9 months with blue cross blue shield new england and 2 information meeting, 3 nutrition meeting, 6 pysch meeting, 1 medical exam meeting, 6 exercise meetings, 1 surgeon consult, as you can see there was a lot of prepartion. and also pre-op testing I swear if I did'nt work 11-7 I would of lost my job with all the meeting and appts. finally banded though and you forget about it after.

  11. how long does the transition take from mushies to solids I recently switched to solids and I find I have to chew my food so much is this the way it is going to be and also the food seems like so little i can eat advice please
  12. my slime was first abdominal pain then clear saliva lets say for couple minutes couldn't bring anything up though the after thirty minutes relief but was cautious all day don't want that again chew chew chew

  14. I also had the same thing on one incision I clipped it it was pretty long and the other one I clipped then pulled it more out later because it kept picking at my shirt so I think it is normal I was afraid to pull it but did it and it came out easily.
  15. We are going to a few holiday parties july 2 and 4th first holiday newly banded won't be eating too much feels wierd that was always my time to eat alot well change is good

Yah I am on pureed foods now and the nutritionist said try the foods that are really soft a couple of days and if tolersted advance I has tuna all day yesterday and did fine it might of been early morning just didn't like the feeling i'm okay but at the time scary just don't want to do damage to the band don't want any more surgery yuk

Just had my band june 9th and had some tuna fish well like 8am thought I was eating slowly but probably not well anyways bad pain in my stomach and major slimeing didn't vomit but close how long should I wait to eat again scary didn't like the feeling has it yesterday and did fine but i heard the band is tighter in the morining though maybe you guys could offer some advice thanks.
  18. I was banded on June 9th doing ok first 3 days painful but overall okay now I am on soft/pureed foods tuna never tasted so good lost 17 lbs so far not so much now on softs going for a fill july 19th how are everyone scars doing

I was also banded june 9th and I am having the same problem I have lost 15 pounds initially nothing since I think it is the pureed/soft stage also my friend who had wls joined weight watchers to after and she lost 350 pounds really I am discouraged to I am going for a filll July 19th its protocol for my doctor I want to lose at least 2 pounds a week. good luck
  21. How much weight is normal to lose the first two weeks after surgery I have lost 15 and the nutritionist said thats the norm let me know

  23. what are the rules for drinking before and after meals do you have to not eat 30 minutes before a meal and 1 hour after a meal what do you do.?
  24. Did your doctors give you a weight restriction you could lift post op mine said 20 pounds for four weeks. does anyone else have that restriction and why

    I just quit cold turkey after banding the chance of my stomach exploding was enough for me its still hard though everyone in the family drinks it and I find my self reaching for it and then realize oh yah I can't drink it bummer
