  1. You should not still be having a fever! I get to an ER now and not wait until the 20th... Are there any NURSES out there?:smile2:
  2. Ok, Oley-Oley-Outenfree!!!! Where is RUBY???? I know you are lurking as Kari said... and isolating... don't!!! We love you and want our RUBY back... I am struggling with my demons too... I am up and down like 'hores drawers...pardon the expression. But I just get so fed up with myself at times. But one thing I know for sure, this place is WHERE I will be successful... if I just keep coming back and trying. I have invested so much money in ME, why do I get so close and then sabbotage my good eating habits....???? I still don't know the answer to that question, but I will continue to search... Part of it is that I am physically more comfortable in my body. there dosn't seem to be an URGENT need to make more changes.. I know that asounds dumb. it is. However, Back feels better, knees feel better, BP is back to normal... I can do physical stuff that was out of the question before.... BUT, I am not at goal yet. Its at least 30 lbs away... What do I need to STAY the course... a brick upside the head? Do I have a fear of being georgeous at goal weight? That I won't be able to control myself, and have to be beating men off with a stick??? What is my FEAR??? o.k. so hanging on today to Sister Janets wise advise. And whoever else wants to chime in... Go ahead, I won't be offended... I need an A-ha moment!
  3. YEAH, you have your computer back at full speed. Dosn't it just drive you crazy when you can't access it or only "S l o w l y" ... Yes, my visit with my Mom went well yesterday. I took my Quilt (in process) with me to work on. I knew my Mom would be glued to the TV in the lounge as CURLING Masters game was on... for you Cali girls... CURLING is a Cdn (Scottish) sport done indoors in the winter on Sheets of ICE. Usually 4 sheets across... so that several teams can play at the same time... You crouch down in the "hack" with a broom in you left hand for balance and you throw (slide) a ROCK down the ice slowly towards the target (kinda like a bullseye) at the other end of the rink. Meanwhile 2 of your teammates SWEEP the ice just ahead of the rock in motion to warm up the pebbles on the ice... this makes the rock go faster... Sorry, Montana Girl Stephanie probably knows just as much as I do about Curling, I am sure they do it there too. Ah, we have to find some fun to do in the cold months hee,hee,hee.... besides snuggling in the bedroom!!!!
  4. O.k. this is what I woke up to this a.m. and drove thru yesterday.... God it is pretty though... I don't have to be at work until noon. Breaky is 1 egg, 1 ww bread, pancake syrop Lite, 1/2 cup milk
  5. Fantastic, you are so close!!!! 6 lbs will be gone before you know it!:Dancing_sorry:
  6. Good points Kari :tongue2:
  7. I have NOT tracked my food for 7 days.....just being accountable... On plan today
  8. Oh Stephanie, you are having your issues GF! Now I am no Doc/Nurse , but what you describe sounds like Hypoglycemia... which needs further investigation too! Eat LowGlycemic foods, and PROTIEN FIRST, eat something with good quality protien every 3 hours, by the clock! Sliced turkey, deli ham, keep a small can of tuna in your purse, then follow it with WHole Grain crackers, veg or fruit. A tetra pk of O.J. would be preferable to the Orange Soda... and you can keep tetra paks in your car unrefrigerated too. What about some little mandarin oranges? I can eat those, but not a real Florida orange, too pithy and they get stuck. Protien shakes, protien bars,,, every 3 hrs... o.k Please look after yourself. HUGS Candice
  9. O.k. I am here! This is the first day that I've had time to sign on... I changed my days and hours at work this week, so I'm still geting used to it. You poor thing!! Stephanie; how are your new pouchies? Still loving them and taking them for lots of walks??? I loved your post to the newcomer, welcoming her.... you speak for all of us ... but more elequently that I could have put it... You have a big beautiful heart GF!!! Janet; Sweetie, how are you doing this week? I've been thinking about you and hope that your family struggles are not as bad Still sending you lots of (((((HUGS)))) Kari; Glad you are stilll posting too... don't worry You're coming to my place next summer with the other girls... if we have to tie you up and kidnap you!!! Plus, you'll have the shortest drive ha.ha,ha.ha. Karri, Linda, Ruby ??? where are you little lurkers???? We love you come back soon... it dosn't matter how long you've been away from posting... WE all STILL MISS YOU!!! Internet's been weird at my house last couple of days, I havn't been tracking my food either... had a binge with Icecream!!!! Yikes, its my 34th Anniversary and my DH and I celebrated by sharing a 2litre bucket of frozen Yogurt... and um yah, Yogurt is still not healthier than full fat icecream when you eat 3 bowls of it.... But, tommorrow is another day, MONDAY and no better day that to get back on track... Love to all, C:wub:
  11. Evening Ladies; I've been an exercise slacker the last couple days... Food today, breaky I posted earlier. Lunch Fish Sandwich 400Cals, Supper = 1Chick. thigh, 1/2 cup scalloped potatoes. This aft. had a slip though on the dark sweet stuff.... so I'll have to go "light" tomorrow~ I got really daring today and coloured my hair.... RED.... Dh didn't even notice when I got home! I had to tell him... men! Dosn't look too bad, a little bright perhaps... but you know how colour fades.... I won't worry. Test will be tomorrow at work, if everyone laughs. :smile2: CALORIESCARBSFATPROTEIN1,127,121,53,40 1000 - 1050163 - 23632 - 5660 - 127 Well, not that bad after all.... whew
  12. Great start!! Half the battle is admitting you have a problem. The band is a great tool (I've had mine for 15 mos. and am maintaining a 64 lb loss. Now I still have more weight to go, but it is comming off and is staying off for good... No more Yo=yo's for me. The band is a great tool, for the physical.. but you are smart to embrace OA to deal with the Emotional/Spiritual side of why we overeat... nobody puts a band around our heads!!! You will often hear folks talk about "head" hunger vs. stomach or "real" hunger... This morning I proved it to myself again. I made healthy pancakes, Flax seed meal, almond meal, oatmeal & a bit of bisquick to hold it all together.. SF syrop.. I made 6 pancakes. So I figured hummm I can eat TWO for sure. Put the other in the freezer, I "Wanted" two... but the Band stopped me... As I sit here I was only able to eat 1 and then there are 2 bites still on my plate I can't finish... just can't.. When did i EVER leave food on my plate? Good luck on your journey, we can do this together!!!
  13. Morning ladies; Well, I stayed up very late to watch all the news coverage.... my Hubby was pissed!! He said "hey, I have to work in the morning, can you turn that off?" So I slept in the basement twin bed, I have a TV down there for guests... hee,hee... and I could watch Obama to myhearts content. Although, like Janet I am GLAD its all over... 2 yrs of campaigning is enough... you guys should do what we do here in Canada, call an election and have it 6 wks later!!! All over and done and back to the business of running the country. I had 1 pancake for breaky today, with SF Syrop.. yum.. I really thought i could eat 2 but no way!!! So Ihave 5 to go into the freezer. I made them out of ground Oatmeal, Ground Flax seed meal, almond meal and Bisquick/eggs... really substantial.. guess that's why I could only eat one and was FULL CBL Steph: Have you tried just drinking liquid Protien ISOPURE ? it comes in various flavors and is see through and thin in consistency. I think you can buy it at GNC or better pharmacies.
  14. Well, about the previous poster and the Tyl#3's prior to surgery... that is a question you should call and ask either nancy or Daryl I got banded in Jul 07 and paid $16,000, however I do know that their price went up tho $18K... awhile ago in 2008... but that was pre-wall street crashs... so perhaps they did lower their fees... I have never heard of them paying for Hotel accomd. but hey , no harm in asking for it right... Just negotiate with them... its a free country and there are 3 W/L clinics in T.O. now so compitition is on YOUR side.
  15. 1000 cals today!!! gotta go watch CNN
  16. Marivali, nice to hear from you again. Wow, you have had a busy year. Don't worry, we are always here for you - beleive me we all need each others support to carry on this journey... Keeping your motivation up is key, plus like Janet always says.... Exercise + band + good food choices = Success!!! ' 75 lbs gone forever!!! that is wonderful, no wonder you can go hiking. Janet; ya I agree, I was able to get my Cheerios and skim milk down about 35 mins. ago... so I am off to a good start! I just can't seem to get my butt in gear though today, can't keep my eyes off of CNN.... oh my will I go thru withdrawl tomorrw????
  17. Yes, it is common. It is just the gas though that is pumped into your abdomen during surgery. It has no where to go and sometimes seems to 'sit' in your shoulder area. Just get up and go for a walk it will dissapate. Also, its not a Horrible pain, just kinda uncomfortable... I went for a short walk the evening of my surgery. (operation 11 a.m.) and the next day felt so good that I went hiking on mountain trails around my home... Dr Yau gave me Torodol for pain, but I hardly took it, just took Tylenol for 3 days... that was it. I have had several surgeries in the past, Breast reduc., hysterectomy etc.... the lap band is a breeze compaired to those.. Just think, you'll be able to change your countdown ticker toa W/L ticker before you know it!! Are you getting excited???? I know I was at your stage. If you have any more questions, just ask or:thumbs_up: P.M. me...
  18. CALORIESCARBSFATPROTEIN1,360,176,48,68 Pro so here are my numbers from yesterday... Not ideal, but I was munching and scrounging in the evening... the things that put me over the top were at least healthy choices, Oatmeal cake w/peanut butter, SF FF Choc pudding..... luckily I didn't have any Un=healthy stuff in the house... the oatmeal cake is 190 cals, 6 gms of Fibre and 9 gms of Protien... Today, I will do better.... its 9.30 a.m. and am still having trouble with coffee, may have to reheat it...
  19. o.k. Stephanie, you asked for it so we'll be there for you. Don't be so hard on yourself( I mean the verbal stuff) you've done sovery well, and you WILL get to goal... so what if you tasted maintenance a wee bit.... ? You are back on the band (hee, hee) wagon and THATS what counts eh? Track your cals if that helps, janet made me do it and its really helping and posting my cals here and being accountable to you guys... did you SEE the ticker,,,, its M_ O_V_I_N_G Love ya, C:wub:
  20. Ha,ha,ha... thanks Stephanie: Yes I can hardly wait to see YOU in that Biker Babe outfit. My costume was Super easy. Its all about layering. 1 table cloth 1 bed sheet(cut a small hole to squish your head thru) 1 pr white underpants(one leg over your face) 1 white turtleneck sweater(cotton or you'll die!) 1 pr white leggings 1 crucifix. 5 or 6 big safety pins... that was it!
  21. Oh Stephanie; that sounds like a horrible weekend for you! All those stucky's and PB's... yeaowza!!! You did suffer. I too had a wee defill yest. and I still got stuck at lunch today, and then at dinner time too. My Dinner was roast chicken so I think that because I was so hungry I ate that FIRST bite too fast.... will I ever learn?? But I continued on with my supper and it was delicious, alathough I put twice as much food onto my plate as I should have.. EYES, they are still out of whack too. I can comfortably eat 1 chick thigh, OR 1 drumstick or 1/2 or 1/3 chick. breast, some veggies, 1/4 cup mashed pot. NO MORE... or else. God my Dogs love me... they know that even after 1 yr, they'll still get my leftovers. Thank goodness they are not fat!
  22. o.k. I'm over on the picture brag thread
  23. o.k. here are my Halloween pictures from work... I am the SINGING NUN the GI Jane in combats is my Boss :cool2:
  24. Hi Girls, oh my so many N.S.V.'s today.... first of all I DID NOT eat any halloween candy!!! Whoo-hoo I will post up the pictures from Halloween at work on the pictures page after I get them edited o.k.??? too funny I drove to the Clinic yest. and got a TINY de-fill. -.10 cc to be exact. I was at 7.25cc's now 7.15 cc's... I was more comfortable last night sleeping. While in the big city I met up with DD and DSIL2B we went for Sushi, but I had sushimi - which is just the raw fish, its not all rolled up with rice and seaweed. I am allergic to iodine so I try to stay away from seaweed wrappers. So I ate Miso soup, Edemame(soy beans raw, blanced) and raw salmon, shredded chinese horseradish. OMG it was orgasmic!!! I thought TUNA was good! O.k. gotta go do the pictures. Phyl; you're party sounds fun, and it was sweet that the lady won for best pumpkin... I would'a been in tears. I love the doggies being taken everywhere too... I must tell DH about THAT! Maybe we should winter in Palm Springs instead of Fla.???? Janet: That was a great compliment from you boss eh? Ya, I kinda had to "behave" myself as a NUN too... but I didn't last long. Getting outa my car with a coffee and costume, something snagged and I dropped my coffee in the parking lot... an expletive F--- came out of my mouth.... 2 Hail Marys for that!! Then at my desk it was so hot in the costumes that we opend the front door to the clinic (it was kinda a nice day) and the BEES were flying in... so I committed another mortal sin and KILLED 2 bees!!!! o.k. now I need to gargle in the Holy Water !!!!:cool2:
  25. Happy Halloween everyone! We've gotten into the spirit around here at work and I am sitting here typing to you.... dressed as the "SINGING NUN" Everyone at work just about crapped themselves with me in my wimple of white with a crucifix around my neck. The other gal came as a gun-totting gunslinger from the WIld West and mY boss came dressed as GI Jane!! What a hoot, so far I've resolved to stay out of the Candy !!! Yeah God be with you!
