WHen you're right out of making the most enormous change of your life and it doesn't go like you thought it would, it's scary and nerve wracking. Holy Hell, have some patience isn't the most supportive response I've ever seen.
Here's what I know: The sleeve works, first of all. You may not lose fast and you may not lose like you want to lose, but the sleeve works. Patience is absolutely key.
Tell us about where you started-- Highest weight, start weight, current weight. How about inches? I lost TONS of inches but very little scale weight. I STILL lose slowly on the scale but the inches are where it's at. Are your clothes loose/baggy? Seeing any changes in your body that don't translate to scale numbers? Remember your NSV's - non scale victories- What doesn't hurt that used to hurt? what can you do that you couldn't?
What's your post op plan been like?
I know this is VERY hard but everyone else is EVERYONE ELSE. Not YOU. So don't worry about them....you have to focus on YOUR plan and YOUR body. You can't go back, so keep moving forward. Have a talk with your nutritionist about your food needs... at a month out I was jUST starting to eat solids, and I had lost maybe 12 lbs.

    I'm already bald. Problem solved.
I don't care about scars, which almost 4 months out are still purple.
I do care a little about loose skin but honestly, even though I do have excess skin my skin has done an AMAZING job at bouncing back. I notice differences all the time with my skin.
I also have lost a lot of fat in my face which has slimmed down a bit so I look a little older.
No biggie, my partner loves me if I'm a 400 pound state puff marshmallow man or a 230 pound flab fest. As long as I'm healthy.

Hello my family:). Just wanted to update: I'm still n hospital, I feel rather well but these esophageal spasms are still givin me issues. As I said the second swallow test was.basically inconclusive but the surgeon said it looked good enuff for him, however; until I'm 24 hrs spasm free, he still won't let me eat or drink:( so today is day 4, npo. Then he said, we just have to b patient bc it will improve, so I have to stay here until Monday mornin:( my 9 yr old is alredy upset when she has to lv me nd she doesn't evn know about Monday yet. Catheter n heart monitor removed so that's good. I thank God that I'm not evn hungry or head hungry, I'm just rdy to get up n moving forward in a positive way. I've been reading about how u all are and praying every night for yall. Take care and hopefully I'll have bttr news for yall. XOXO my friends keep up the awesomeness of ur journeys, I'm proud of you all!!!!

we can't change the past - its over and done with
today is a new year - you want to get back on track, good for you
the Protein et al are very, very important rules
eat small meals, little pieces, chew thoroughly
put utensil down a couple of minutes before you eat again
as said by OP, never drink with meals
people have been shot for less
stop drinking about 15-30 minutes before you eat
after you finish eating - do not drink for 45-60 minutes
and drink, drink, drink all day - as much as possible - but at least 64 oz
you are taking responsibility for "screwwwing up" - so now you can get your act back together
its not easy, but no one ever said this voyage was easy
and it is sooooo worth it
how much weight did you initially lose - reached goal??? how much did you regain???
stick to the rules again, with the knowledge that once you lose, you need to make a life commitment to eating correctly
this is your new way of life
i see the determination in your face and i know you can get your act together again!!!!
remember, work with the sleeve, and the sleeve will work with you
"support group for compulsive over eaters, binge eaters, food addicts????"
who the heck are all of us on the board???
    chopped liver!!!
    we've got your back
we ALL know you can do this
keep reading the boards, come back with your questions
and you'll get plenty of that much needed support from all of us
    thats what we're here for
    2014 will be YOUR year!!!!
congrats on your return to improved health with the sleeve
    good luck

No sense in beating yourself up over this. Learn from it and it sounds like your getting off the sugar by eating the 5 day pouch test. It helps with eliminating the cravings.....
I do really good when I eat Protein and veggies. If I eat carbs I want more and can eat a lot more, so after tomorrow, I will eliminate all carbs except for veggies....
You can do this, Misty gave you really good guidelines.......you can also look up "The 5:2 Diet" and many of us have used this to help loose some weight too. ;P

Welcome back. I am glad you have reached out. That is a great first step.
First, it sounds like you know you have a problem with eating. I would encourage you to talk to a therapist about this. You can find therapists who specialize in all kinds of eating problems. Google for NEDA, National Eating Disorders Association. There is a directory of service providers there. If you are outside the US, let us know where you are so we can help you find a similar organization in your area.
Second, about the mechanism of eating with the sleeve. The sleeve doesn't expire or stop working. You have asked for the "rules" and I will outline them for you. See the link in my signature to a list of all of the major post-sleeve diets I could find from various surgeons and hospitals. They go into details. But here are the rules:
    1. Protein first, every time you eat. You want more than 60 grams a day.
    2. Denser Protein is better. Chew your protein as much as possible. You will feel your restriction and you will feel full longer.
    3. After protein, vegetables are most important, then fruits, then other things only if you are on track with protein and gave room.
    4. No drinking with your meal or for at least 30 minutes afterward.
You might look for the Boot Camp diet which OregonDaisy posted. It is basically those rules. Good luck!

I highly recommend that your follow your doctor's guidelines for food. There are plenty of people on this website that have had issues with certain foods and nausea and vomiting. I promised myself that I would stick to my doctor's guidelines and I haven't had any issues with nausea or vomiting. For me it was pure liquids for 2 weeks - that meant Water, Protein shakes, broths and that was about it. It is only 2 weeks, look at the time as resetting your food cravings so that you can be successful at the weight loss and keep it off forever! A little discomfort and food cravings in the beginning will reward you with long term success!

Good everyone. Well my stay in the hospital has been extended till Friday at the least because my swallow test was inconclusive because I'm so very tight right now. Third day of not eating or drinking anything just have to swab my mouth and spit it out. Kind of scary and yeah makes me wonder why I did it. if I were not having spasms in my chest and heart I could come home tomorrow so please continue lifting me up in prayer, its greatly appreciate. Gn all.

Since reading other posts it reminded me of all the cook books, diets, pills, and other fads I tried to lose weight. If I had all the $$$ I spent on them, I would have enough to pay for plastics when I get to the end goal. Oh well, sunk costs, but definitely lesson learned.
Also as others left behind my stomach, and that is absolutely staying behind.

This couldn't be more true! Thanks for posting it. I have lost 20 inches so far in all of the places that I measure. In fact, my bra is down to the inner most hooks...will have to buy a new one soon! Sometimes that is much better than seeing the number change on the scale!
