  7. Got sleeved on Monday 12/30 - am now at home - yay! I'm Jennifer - live in Frisco Texas (Dallas suburb) 46 y.o. 270 at least weigh-in at home, but hospital "bed scale" weighed in at 112kg or so, which would be 246. hmmm My goal is to hit about 165 and to walk a 5K before end of 2014. Good luck all!
  8. Thanks for your support everyone - I knew I was over-reacting - surgery on MOnday went well and I am back home - yay! Haven't seen a peep of that cold since MOnday morning. Happy New Year!! Jennifer
  9. Back at home after being sleeved on Monday. I feel pretty good, considering they took some stuff out - lol. I had a revision - sleeve with lap-band removal. I can already tel how different this experience will be from the lap band and much more successful. - The sleeve sure makes me "accountable" for how much and how quickly I ingest fluids. After two days of having nothing, though, vegetable broth never tasted so good! I weighed myself when I got home and seem to have actually gained a little since before the surgery - I"m sure that has everything to do with having an IV in for two days. Morphine is awesome - I will miss my new friend now that I'm home - lol. Not really that much pain though, other than the expected "gerd" feeling if I drink too fast. Can't wait to hear about everyone else's journey and see the changes. Personally, I can not WAIT for the blood sugar levers to go down for me Happy New year all - 2014 will be awesome for all of us! Jennifer

  11. Thanks All I can do is go in and see what they say, I guess. I tend to worry myself sick about things that never happen - wish I could take a sleeping pill and pass out until it's time to go to the hospital but I have a feeling I'll be tossing and turning all night :/

  13. I have been fighting this cold all weekend and now it's settling into my chest a little. I'm worried that they'll tell me I can't do the surgery tomorrow but I won't be able to afford to meet my out-of-pocket in 2014 within the insurance's window of approval. <sigh> Anyone have a positive thought they can throw at me to help me calm down? I have been working toward this day for months - why do I have to get sick NOW? ;( Jennifer-who-can't-figure-out-the-ticker
  14. Mine is scheduled tomorrow at 11:30. I am very concerned that I've come down with a cold and they will not do surgery tomorrow Any advice?
  15. Yay! I am set to go tomorrow! You'll do great - prayers and best of luck
  16. Mine too! I hope! I'm scared they will turn me away if they see that I have a cold. 2014 will NOT work for me Best to you and I will say prayers for both of us - keep in touch and we can track together Jennifer, Dallas -newbie and still looking for fancy stuff - lol
