Well my time has finally come. I am to be at the hospital at 6:30 scheduled for surgery @ 8:30. They said I would be 2nd to go back. Very very nervous. Just praying that I'm making the right decision. I think my biggest fear is pain and worried about me being down not able to help hubby & kids. My 15 yr old is going to the hospital with me and hubby will be there soon afterwards, as he has to work tonight. Crossing my fingers he doesn't get a call before shift is over. Good luck to all the other sleeves that are scheduled for this week too.

Wow, how exciting for everyone! Please post your status. So many of you starting the year on a great note!

My surgery went well. I had pain immediatly afterwards, but the morphine helped. I had two bouts of nausea. I passed the leak test and am trying out ice chips and then broth. So far so good!

I'm doing well also. Ice chips and sips of water. I just finished my sixth time walking to equal a mile. Hoping to go home tomorrow.

Back at home after being sleeved on Monday. I feel pretty good, considering they took some stuff out - lol. I had a revision - sleeve with lap-band removal. I can already tel how different this experience will be from the lap band and much more successful. - The sleeve sure makes me "accountable" for how much and how quickly I ingest fluids. After two days of having nothing, though, vegetable broth never tasted so good! I weighed myself when I got home and seem to have actually gained a little since before the surgery - I"m sure that has everything to do with having an IV in for two days. Morphine is awesome - I will miss my new friend now that I'm home - lol. Not really that much pain though, other than the expected "gerd" feeling if I drink too fast. Can't wait to hear about everyone else's journey and see the changes. Personally, I can not WAIT for the blood sugar levers to go down for me Happy New year all - 2014 will be awesome for all of us!
