Girl I'm right there with you on that one. I was at work the other day and one of the girls that I was eating with looked at my plate and said how much of that could you eat? I wanted to say well give me a minute and I'll measure it out for you!!! UH!!! I don't know I ate till I was full! Also the people that every time you see them ... even if its only been 3 days since they saw you last ask how much have you lost since I saw you last?

Okay I probably should rephrase this statement. I do plenty of chewing ....but it isn't the same when you have chewed a piece of steak till it doesn't even taste like steak anymore.... or when you chew up chicken till its mashed to death. The chewing I miss is on crunchy snack stuff I think and things that I ate when I was bored. chewing gave me something to do! So sometimes I've missed that. I can eat and feel full but still feel the need to go get something to chew/snack on but I don't. I just remind myself that thats why I'm going through all of this now and snacking just for something to do isn't going to help. So now I'm finding things to do when I feel the snack chewing attack coming on that keeps me buisy and not thinking about eating.

Sorry you have to go through another surgery but it is best that it is taken care of. You will feel better with out that yucky stone. My Dr found a gallstone when I was going in for preop testing to get my band. I had to have my gallbladder removed and then wait 1 month to get my band.It is just like your band surgery and they even used some of the same incisions!!! You will do great!!!

No!!! Your normal! I miss it too! I feel like if I get wanting to chew something out of habit I chew a piece of sugar free gum.... Being EXTRA careful not to swallow it!!! It helps keep me from wanting to chew on a snack in stead! Happy chewing!

My Dr. did give me pain meds after surgery so that should help you. Maybe if you take it easy you will be able to go. If the seats are going to be hard you might want to take a small pillow with you so you will be more comfortable.

Terri Dont let other people get to you!! You know you are happy with your desicion to get your band and thats all that matters. Your success will not be measured by those people. You are doing wonderful with your band and thats all that matters!!!

Margo it definatly sounds like you are on your way. I hope you will get approved soon with no problems. You'll get that band in time to go down a few sizes by christmas!!!! Good luck and keep us posted on LBT!!

I've noticed Marie being missing in action lately too! I'm not sure where she is either. Marie I hope you are doing okay come back and let us hear from you soon!!

Flower my incision sites had desolvible stitches in them and put the glue on top of all of them. Also they used a stero~strip on my port incision to hold it together cause the insicion was bigger than the rest of them. All Dr's are different and you should ask your surgeon how to care for your insicions after sugery.

Well i'm proud to say I've lost 3 pounds this last week!! That means I got 7 pounds to lose to get to my 25 pounds lost goal at the end of the challenge!!! Yippi I'm on my way!!!

Heather its always good to have someone new come to join us here. So glad you found us too! Sounds like you are off to a great start with your weight loss congratulations on getting your band!! There is always something new to learn here on LBTso come post and read often!!!

Best advice I can give you is this... Take the time you have before surgery and start cleaning up your eating habits so it won't seem so hard to do after surgery. Start excersisng, getting in a least 64 oz of Water. Start concentrating on chewing slower and not drinking with meals. think of your self as a bandster in training. Also go ahead and start making a list of things you will need for your hospital stay and the grocery list you will need for all your food stages. Alot of items you can buy now and will still be good. Canned Soups, Jello,Protein powder, ect... The waiting is the hardest part but just hang in there it will be here and gone before you know it. Congratulations and I wish you lots of success with your new journey that is just beginning!!!!

Delarla I just wanted to say that you have been through so much and I'm glad to read your posts and see how much happier you are even through all the trials with your band. I hope you will get a new port and that you will continue to have great success with your band!!!

Paula you have made me laugh this morning!!! Its so funny when you get all sentamental and then wame its back to the normal things in life that keep you remembering what being a mom is all about!!! LOL!!!

Hey Trish, Sorry to hear you are having so much sorness. It is jsut alot of gas build up. Hope you feel better tomorrow!!! Keep drinking and take it slow and easy!!!
