  1. Sleeved July 29th SW:235 CW:212 Guess I'm the slow loser of the bunch
  2. I just noticed while typing an email, I have wrist bones and little dimples on the sides of my wrist! Woohoo!
  3. I'm on week 5 and just starting to get my energy back. No naps this week and feeling great. I had some internal bleeding 3 days post op that set me back a week though. Good luck!
  4. I didn't have to. Just one day before surgery, clear liquids.
  5. I had to have one put in because I couldn't ah...empty the tank on my own. I was awake when they put it in, emptied, and took it out. It was no big deal at all. Slight discomfort but no pain.
  6. Has anyone ever tried mixing the Jello powder with Protein powder? I've tried mixing Protein Powder in with the jello as I make it but don't care much for it. Just thought I could blend it in with my shake and add some flavor.
  7. This happened to me too! It was thrush, I was lucky enough that I didn't get blisters so mine resolved within a week on its own. I was told if you have blisters it would need treatment.
  8. I've seen the flatout breads in my local grocery store and at Walmart near the deli counter. Directly in front of the meat and cheese case. I used to enjoy these preop, I can't wait until I can add them back in.
  9. I brought home 13 pounds more than I went in with. No worries though, it was gone within a few days. Congrats on your surgery.
  10. I'm 5'6" and had surgery July 29, 2013. Im 16 days post op and have lost 10 pounds. I weighed 235 at surgery.
  11. I realize that all doctors are different and their standard of practice varies. But I was sleeved on July 29th and I'm already on soft solids. I skipped phase 3. I'm afraid I'm moving too quickly. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be eating real food. I'm just concerned that my course of post op treatment is so different from all the posts I read.
  12. Yes I skipped phase three. Not sure why but following the docs orders. It's been two days on solids and I haven't had any issues. It is harder to stay hydrated since I'm no longer getting extra liquids from food and having to wait before and after meals to drink.
  13. Just started MFP yesterday. Mirabelle24
  14. I'm finally on the upswing. I ended up back in the hospital for internal bleeding. I had a hematoma that was infected. Yuck! But after three more days in the hospital and great care I'm feeling much better. I'm struggling to get my water and Protein too but my doc just moved me to phase 4 foods so I can eat solids now. I'm thinking that will help. Glad everything went smooth for you
  15. I'm 10 days post op and barely slept for the first week. The last two nights I slept better than ever. I think, for me, once I could lay flat in bed and the incisions stopped being so sore was the turning point.
  16. I was July 29th too. How are you doing?
  17. Oops. *company's not companies. I also love autocorrect.
  18. Love this thread. I'm the codes and standards manager for a plastic piping company. Hold many positions on various construction code bodies and ensure my companies products and installations confirm to the appropriate codes and standards for the jurisdiction of installation. I might be in the running for the need award!
