Hey, No Fair!
I had to have one put in because I couldn't ah...empty the tank on my own. I was awake when they put it in, emptied, and took it out. It was no big deal at all. Slight discomfort but no pain.

Mixing jello with protein powder?
Has anyone ever tried mixing the Jello powder with Protein powder? I've tried mixing Protein Powder in with the jello as I make it but don't care much for it. Just thought I could blend it in with my shake and add some flavor.

White tongue
This happened to me too! It was thrush, I was lucky enough that I didn't get blisters so mine resolved within a week on its own. I was told if you have blisters it would need treatment.

July 2013 Sleevers
- Wonton wrappers!
I've seen the flatout breads in my local grocery store and at Walmart near the deli counter. Directly in front of the meat and cheese case. I used to enjoy these preop, I can't wait until I can add them back in.- Weight gain in the hospital?
I brought home 13 pounds more than I went in with. No worries though, it was gone within a few days. Congrats on your surgery.- 5'6" and weighed 225-235 surgery day?
I'm 5'6" and had surgery July 29, 2013. Im 16 days post op and have lost 10 pounds. I weighed 235 at surgery.- Sleevers by profession.
Love this thread- july 2013 sleevers
I realize that all doctors are different and their standard of practice varies. But I was sleeved on July 29th and I'm already on soft solids. I skipped phase 3. I'm afraid I'm moving too quickly. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be eating real food. I'm just concerned that my course of post op treatment is so different from all the posts I read.- July 30th is the day! Who is with me?
Agreed. They are yummy!- July 30th is the day! Who is with me?
Yes I skipped phase three. Not sure why but following the docs orders. It's been two days on solids and I haven't had any issues. It is harder to stay hydrated since I'm no longer getting extra liquids from food and having to wait before and after meals to drink.- MyFitnessPal.com Members

- July 30th is the day! Who is with me?
I'm finally on the upswing. I ended up back in the hospital for internal bleeding. I had a hematoma that was infected. Yuck! But after three more days in the hospital and great care I'm feeling much better. I'm struggling to get my water and Protein too but my doc just moved me to phase 4 foods so I can eat solids now. I'm thinking that will help. Glad everything went smooth for you- Newbie insomnia?
I'm 10 days post op and barely slept for the first week. The last two nights I slept better than ever. I think, for me, once I could lay flat in bed and the incisions stopped being so sore was the turning point.- July 30th is the day! Who is with me?
I was July 29th too. How are you doing?- Sleevers by profession.
