I had one, but I was also a lapband removal and spent 3 days in hospital. My surgeon's office went over all that before surgery.

I had one and it was no big deal. Just stunk having to walk the halls carrying your purse of urine lol. Comes out day after surgery don't worry you'll get through it!

Won't have my sleeve until November, but in past surgeries the catheter has been put in after they had me under anesthetic. When the nurse takes it out, it's not so bad. I don't know what your modesty level is, but I find that the older I get, the less I care. Just do what you gotta do and let me go home.

It's honestly no big deal. You won't even be awake when they put it in and there is no pain when they take it out. No worries!!

I was SO happy to have one post-surgery. I was petrified of getting out of bed. (Well, I did get out to walk the hall, but that was with help.) The nurse removed it the next day, I think.

Ha, well, I *know* she removed it, just not clear if it was the day after surgery - or was it later the same day of surgery? Hmmm...

I just got sleeved aug. 27. I had no idea but to be honest the nurse took it out early in the am the next day. You are still a bit drugged so you don't care.
