  1. Has anyone else been forbidden to take gummy vitamins post-op?
  2. Pretty self explanatory....I'm now four weeks post-op and I'm starting to feel hungry, like legit hunger, not head hunger! Lol, anyone else?
  3. Ok, for those of us having trouble getting our Protein in and still crave something yummy and sweet: PROTEIN PACKED PUDDING!!! ...all you need is: 1 box of fat-free/sugar-free jell-o pudding mix Skim or soy milk Your favorite Protein powder ...mix these things together and have a protein packed snack! ************* Don't know what to do with that disgusting (not so) unflavored protein powder??? Well, how about PROTEIN SHOTS?!?! ...all you'll need for this one is: 1 one package of your fav jell-o mix Water And that awful unflavored protein powder....make sure to add A LOT!!!! Pour the mixture into those little condiment cups. (*ya know, the ones we use for actual Jell-O shots, with the alcohol!* wink, wink!!! Refrain from using the vodka this time guys! Lol) Let the mixture congeal and you have yourself little protein shots that you can have each day, just like your supplements! Idk what to do about the awful tasting chewable Vitamins, you'll just have to man up and take them until they're gone...or just chunk them and get more!!! Haha Let it congeal and enjoy as much as you'd like!
  4. Is anyone else not allowed to have caffeine post-op??? I think I'm starting to go into withdrawals! I NEED either coffee or pickles!!! Lol
  5. I mixed vanilla bean jello pudding and my vanilla bean protein powder with skim milk...it's DELISH!!! Whenever I crave something sweet I eat that. So I get my sweet fix and my protein!
  6. OAN: my surgeon is AWESOME! I didnt need my pain meds yesterday and I haven't needed them this morning! But I have noticed the walking helps with the upset tummy from gas!
  7. Geez, I didn't even think about popping anything with the squats! I see the doc on Wednesday, so I'll stop and ask him about it then! So glad I have this outlet and you guys to ask questions! But pre-op my doc did tell me that I could ride my (stationary) bike! It just hasn't come in yet! Lol
  8. 5 days...I got sleeved on Monday!
  9. My first post-op workouts!!! Yesterday, I walked a half mile and 50 squats, and today me and my dad walked about two miles and I did 55 squats!!! Too much???
  10. I'm so sorry you guys are having trouble, I haven't had any trouble with my pills...and they sent me home with pills the first day! My incisions are fine too, the glue is starting to peel tho!
  11. Congrats girly, believe me, it'll be over in no time! Just start organizing everything for the big day, that's what I did and it kept my mind off of it! The anxiety was killing me! I wasn't scared, I just wanted to get it over with!
  12. Ok, just a little update! I am not 4 days post-op and feeling great!!!! I had my surgery on monday afternoon september 16, 2013. I stayed in the hospital until wednesday afternoon, that day is still felt great. I've had no real pain, at least none the pain meds can't handle, and very little nausea. Yesterday, which was the day after I left the hospital, I decided that I would not spend it in bed and my daddy and I went to Walmart (first stop, i left my debit card at home and didn't realize it until after we finished shopping. had to go home, get the card and come back to the store. TRAGEDY.!) , Kroger, and Walgreens. I felt fine the entire time. Today, I returned to school! I have found some cream soups and broths that I like, as well as my protein shakes and juices. I bought the flintstones complete multivitamins, which are disgusting might i add, but since my surgeon and dietician don't like the gummies this is what I have to take. I did buy some prenatal gummies and biotin just to add a little extra because I am NOT excited about losing my hair, I have been growing it since birth! lol!
  13. Hey luv, are you feeling any better?
  14. Oh thank u, I luv this, I wanna put it on my wall!!!
  15. Hey girl hey!!! I just got sleeved also and I am TOO excited! Sorry to hear about ur pain tho, I haven't had much at all, I guess because they put me directly on the pain meds. But hang in girly, and just remember that the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single foot step. And u will be successful, even if that foot step is gassy and painful! Lol
  16. Aww, thanks sooo much for the luv guys! It really means a lot...and I will be sure to keep you guys updated as much as I can!!!
  17. I'm sooooo excited, I'm not even nervous! I think I'm more worried about how long of a wait I'm going to have before they call me back for surgery!
  18. Haha, we're sleeve twins!!! Oh, and I have an app that calculates things...I can't really think that far ahead and count too!!! Lol
  19. My surgery is 3 days, 13 hours, and 32 minutes away...but who's counting??? Lol
