  1. My doc told me I should be eating 8oz now so I wouldn't worry.
  2. 48 lbs off! It's been so slow for me the whole time - lots of stalls - but it's still worth it! SW 240 CW 192 GW 160
  3. I'm almost 5 months and it's falling out like crazy!! I hate it!! I just heard zinc helps with regrowth. Gonna try it - I'm desperate.
  4. 1 night. I had no complications.
  5. 4.5 months out, 46 lbs down. Feeling happy, happy, happy!
  6. I experienced this quite a bit but less so now (I'm 4.5 months out). I still can't pinpoint why it does it but I do try to drink more water and get my protein on those days. I hate the feeling!!
  7. Really? I thought that was a well known side effect.
  8. Thanks I'll look into that shampoo. Of course I knew it would happen but when reality sets on, it's like Oh crap!
  9. So the hair loss is driving me nuts. Im almost 4 months out and its in full swing or full fall, I should say. I have long hair and its on everything!! Has anyone had luck with anything? Biotin pills or even Rogain or Minoxidil. I know it sounds vain, but I didn’t like being fat with a full head of hair and I don’t want to be skinny and bald either – yikes!!
  10. I can also eat 3-4 oz of protein. If I add in a veggie to my meal (usually dinner) it weighs about 4.5 oz. total. And I can eat ANYTHING. that's good, but bad. I'm down 40 with 40 to go, so it's slow, but I'd rather have a Sleeve of Steel than have the hard time others do.
  11. How many carbs and protein are you getting in? I haven't been tracking as closely as I should so I'm wondering what others are doing?? Thanks!
  12. I literally threw away 1/2 a chocolate cake that was left... My weakness!! But I talked myself into dumping it, then did it before I could talk myself out if it. Playing mind games with yourself can be confusing!!
  13. This was my Thanksgiving plate. For comparison, that deviled egg is a small size egg. I couldn't finish it all, but I did have some pumpkin pie and a little more turkey and dressing for dinner. I did have a lot more carbs than I'm used to but thanks to my tiny pouch, the damage was minimal. Tomorrow, I'm back on the wagon. ????
  14. My biggest pet-peeve is everyone feels like they have to tell me I look great every time they see me - even if its 2 days later and my weight is the exact same. i'm glad I have supportive friends, but sometimes its like... give it a rest people. haha
  15. I was a good time eater too - but losing weight is so much better than fajitas.. Plus, 6 weeks or so after surgery and you've dropped a bunch already - you can have a fajita again - you just wont be able to eat it all. Happy Birthday!
  16. You are eating way more than I was at that stage - I think I was still on shakes and soups. Less than 500 cals a day... and doing what I could to get 50 grams of protein. Im now 3 months out and getting 800 cals a day - I do try to add a couple of ounces of vegies to my dinner - and 75 g of protein. Your doc or NUT will be the best person to tell you what to do though.
  17. I have a fun "little thing" too. This weekend we went to visit our kids who are in college. I met my 22 year old daughter's roommate's boyfriend (follow all that?) and he thought I was my daughters FRIEND, NOT her MOM!! Im still smiling about that one!!
  18. I kept stalling like every other week, so I just started paying closer attention to what was going in - I dont cheat, but sometimes the calories were higher than I like - and what was being burned off. It seems to help when I focus on those things a little more.
  19. Im 11 weeks out and that's my plan exactly - i didnt get the surgery to never have my favs again - but it does help me with control. I plan to concetrate on turkey, but im going to have a spoonful of whatever looks yummy. 33 lbs off today, but I want to hit 41 by Turkey Day - which will get me to ONEderland!
  20. I'll be 15 weeks by then. Since I dont have room for much I will probably take a spoonful of all my favs, but try to concentrate on protein (aka Turkey).
  21. I agree - I think we've all done well! Lord knows we know how hard it is!!
  22. Im 11 weeks out and I've had 2 drinks over the last 6 weeks. i choose not to drink because of the calorie count, but the alcohol doesnt affect me any differently than it did before. I did not get drunk or even tipsy off of 1 drink... Just my story
  23. I cant beleive it... I did not pop 1 piece of halloween candy in my mouth this whole season. Im sorta afraid to because right now, I cant remember how good it tasted and I dont want to remind myself. It paid off - 33 lbs down today and Im actually wearing skinny jeans tucked into boots!! And I got a compliment from the very 1st person I saw today: She said I looked great in this outfit. Small victories/feeling happy!
  24. I've never been a "left over" eater before, but i am now, because I hate thought of wasting all that money. A restaurant meal will usually be 3 meals for me at least. And sometimes (if we can agree on something), I'll share a meal with the hubby.
