  1. As long as you chew them up, I dont see why not. I've been eating beans since week 3... they are a staple right now.
  2. Im apple shaped too! 4 weeks out and my middle is going down some, but I'd like to see some successful apples look like too!
  3. I have no advice, but I feel your pain! Im 4 weeks out - eating next to nothing and only dropped 1 lb. this week (22 in a month). I am tolerating everything thing too and hoping I dont have to stress the rest of my life with "being on a diet". Good luck to ya!
  4. Im only 4 weeks out, but Im never hungry and I do forget to eat. As a matter of fact, I had to set alarms on my phone to remember to eat during the day. I hear this changes for some and continues for others - I hope it continues for me!!
  5. Same here... we planned to work on our front yard landscaping this weekend... and all I was good for was handing my hubby bottles of Water... I felt bad!!
  6. You can get the Isopure clear at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. They have many different flavors. I like the apple melon the best. Another thing I just tried are called: New whey liquid Protein. They are sold at Walmart in the fitness/diet area (near the pharmacy). They are in oversized white test tube looking things - 42 grams of protein - its only 3.8 oz, but its kinda thick, so I dilute it in a bottle of Water. Again, more like a weird Gatorade type drink. I just couldn't drink anymore choc shakes and these 2 things have really helped.
  7. Have you tried the Isopure clear? It's like Gatorade but not quite as yummy. 40g of protein per bottle.
  8. I was sleeved aug 13 and have lost 22... this week only 1 lb. Im feeling a little down too, but we're in this for the long haul. Keep following you doctors plan and it will work!
  9. I live in Trophy Club. I was sleeved 8/13 and also used Dr. Kim. Pre-Op diet is the worst!! But after its much easier (I guess because you know you cant eat! Good luck!
  10. Its going pretty well, although weight loss this week has been super slow, but alot of people say that about week 3. I just started this week on pureed foods - they seem to be going down OK. My biggest issue is getting in enough liquid. I never drank alot before and its even harder now. I hope you are doing well other than the sleep issue.
  11. I was sleeved on the same day! Mostly I feel OK sleeping - sides, and even stomach, but sometimes flat on my back feels like its pulling - I usually just put a pillow under my legs.
  12. I would guess you are probably still swollen, I am almost 4 weeks out and just starting to notice a difference in my pants... I can already see it in my face and upper tummy/boob area. Give it some time - things get better.
  13. I havent tried the gummies but have you used the drops - its half a dropper full under your tongue and its kinda sweet, not horrible. i love the drops!!
  14. 8/13 and starting to feel great! I've lost 23 lbs. I had a hard time with dizziness and weakness, but that is finally going away. My clothes are starting to loosen up and Im ready to hit a new size!! Started on pureed foods this week and everything seems to be going down just fine.
  15. I felt weird about telling some of my work teammates too. I started with telling my boss because I had to be off work for appts and she (who is a twig) was actually very understanding and supportive. Right before I took off for the surgery, I told my teammates in an email. I told them I felt like this was the right thing to do for me and my future and I hoped I had their support, and I didnt really want it to spread much further, so I asked that they please keep my news within the team. So far, even the ones Im not close to have been very supportive. You will be amazed! Good luck!
  16. Just an update on me (the one who started this topic). I had my surgery just over 3 weeks ago. The first week - I totally regretted what I did - I didnt have any problems really, but I kept thinking how can I live like this?? Now, Im 22 lbs down and starting to eat pureed foods and I am so happy! I still have a long way to go, but I really think this what the right thing for me! Thank you to all who encouraged me after I first posted this! I hope WE can continue to encourage those coming after us!

  18. yes, there is a no-no list and I didn't find out about that until the day of surgery... how did I miss that in my research?? Here is a link. Its not a page Im familiar with, but its basically what my doc told me too: http://www.drchampion.com/latest-news/medications-after-bariatric-surgery/
  19. Funny you posted this topic today. Im almost 3 weeks post op and we are planning to go to the movies this afternoon... and what was my concern: POPCORN!! Im gonna fight through it and hope I don't kill anyone!! haha
  20. I think Aleve is on the no-no list (forever) along with Advil, Motrin, etc... I took childrens liquid Tylenol. Cant seem to find adult strength in liquid form.
  21. The day my surgery was approved, they set my date. Happened to have a cancellation in 2 weeks, so I took it.
  22. I didn't have one...
  23. Im curious how far out from surgery are you? I get to start eating "mush" foods next week and I am so excited about mashed potatoes, but this makes me a little scared....
