White tongue

Hello everyone, I had my sleeve on 8/15 4 days ago, and I've notice I'm getting white spots all over my tongue. Has this happen to anyone else?

sounds like thrush, which is not uncommon after surgery in which you are intubated. If it is thrush, you will need a prescription from your doctor to clear it up. Either way you should definitely get it checked out.

Sounds like thrush due to antibiotics. You might want to take a probiotic and ask for something eith which to treat it.

This happened to me too! It was thrush, I was lucky enough that I didn't get blisters so mine resolved within a week on its own. I was told if you have blisters it would need treatment.

I'm 10 weeks post-op and I still have some white on the back of my tongue! I did go to my doctor about a week or so ago and the NP saw me. She said it wasn't thrush, but it doesn't make sense to me that I still have some white this long after surgery! I remember when I got my gallbladder out having some white on my tongue from being intubated, but it did not last this long.
