I took a walk with my chihuahua last night and he got tired first! Little brat just sat down- like he was saying just carry me. Lol! I cant stoop and pick him up yet tho. We were standing in the street having a little argument. Finally got him to walk home with me. So I think treadmill is what I will have to do. That way he can sit in his blanket and sleep.

Ooh I can't wait to lose the drain! Hate this stupid thing! It stopped collecting Fluid so it's just annoying at this point. Out tomorrow tho-

My surgery was 7/22 and I am doing really well! I've had a remarkable textbook recovery and I was able to get in all Water and Protein from the day I got home. No pain meds, gas, or nausea. I've been really lucky. Started 1 hour per day on the treadmill a week after surgery.
I hope everyone else is doing well also.

I can't believe Im saying this. I've lost 20 pounds. Yes, you read that right. Twenty Frickin Pounds. I haven't seen the scale go downward in several years. I'm waiting for this to be a fluke or to see it all come back next week. Wow. I'm amazed.
Surgery 7-30; Start Weight 224; Current Weight 202

Still have some soreness and gas pain in my shoulder from time to time but walking helps a lot. I start puréed next week. I'm not hungry yet and thankfully no more nausea. Really fun having a shared sleeveday with all of you! I love having friends to talk with about all this.

I had surgery on July 30 too. Stayed three nights in the hospital. I feel fine, actually. No problems. The first two nights were awful but I forced myself to walk around the hospital twice an hour. I think that's why I feel pretty good now. My emotions are all over the place though. I am happy I did this and feel optimistic about the future but I keep welling up and feeling anxious! Perhaps since my drug of choice (food) is no longer available, things are just really real for me right now

Eww. Lol. I can't imagine how your breath would smell wearing that. I thought that I'd tried every diet out there- but apparently not! Haha!

The issue isn't the sleeve - it's everything else. That's not a judgement. If anything, it should be reassuring.
Your sleeve is the same size, roughly, that it was around a year out.
So work it. Make that choice to do this. Get those trigger foods out of your life and do the hard work of detoxing so you can get back to basics.
You have a choice here. You can make it count, or not. I do not mean to be hard on you. I want to see you here in six months, having shed a great deal of your regain, reassuring newbies that it can be done.
Losing weight is hard. Eating a strict diet is hard. Forcing ourselves to give up comforting habits is hard. Learning to cope without using food as a crutch is hard. And yes, having emotional and hormonal changes that affect not only the way our bodies hang on to fat but also our desire to eat those foods is also challenging.
You did not slice out 85% of your stomach to be where you were a few years ago and I know that. So pick it up. shake this off and pretend tomorrow is your first day post sleeve on solids and eat accordingly. Track. Measure. Weigh your food. Get starting weight and measurements for yourself. And GET ON TRACK. You can do this. You aren't the only regain post. Do not slink off into the shadows to hide your shame. Get your butt out here, be real, and be a success. Be active here. Get support. Get motivation. And don't beat yourself up unnecessarily. What's done is done. Tomorrow is a fresh opportunity to change the way this story ends.

Yup. It will get better! My husband shouts out "It went down!" every time I burp in celebration. Ahhhhh!

I got home yesterday and all in all I'm doing ok. I had to have 3 leak checks with barium swallow tests because they were unable to tell if I had a leak or swelling. They have decided it was swelling but to be safe- I have to keep my drain and monitor output until next Friday so that's not awesome. But I'm down 11 lbs since surgery, in minimal pain, without nausea and home with this cute little puppy and all of my sleeve friends. I'm happy!

When I finally did, it was so loud and then my whole stomach started making noises. I felt like one of those old fashioned crank start engines. Ugh. And agreed- no truer advice has been spoken. Do not trust them! Lol

So normal. My kids loved my belly noises, my dog, not so much. She actually barked at my tummy. It goes away after a few weeks.
Water poo is also the norm. I am 11 weeks out and still have watery explosions. My best words of advice? Never trust a fart.
