PB okay for me! (no pun intended)

Okay, since we are all sharing.... I am completely pro choice and do believe it is a womens right to have an abortion. I believe that until we walk a mile in their shoes, we cannot judge them. Late term abortions are senseless though. At the late term stage the baby could be given up for a full adoption and create a family for someone else. During the first trimester though, it is TOTALLY a womens right to decide not to carry a child to term. Although I do think that women should be responsible in their choices and not use abortion as a form of birth control. If I was pregnant and had not planned it, I would certainly consider abortion as an alternative. Again, no one can be judged unless you are in their shoes. And even if you did walk in their shoes, its not your job anyways. But in the end, I do not agree with the late term abortion. I don't think it should be banned however I think that doctors should consider the moral dilemma in today's society before doing this practice. However a "ban" will only cause more problems and underground abortions. At least if a woman does choose this option, it is a controlled environment. Just my two cents... go ahead, fire away...

Wow, I didn't see this thread? Shame on me! I am a proud wiccan. Born a witchlette. I have been solitary or "solitary family" my entire life. I am primarily into Moon Magick and Fairie Magick. I hold the sabbats but I generally Celebrate them during the christian holidays. I raise my child as wiccan but allow freedom of choice and expose him to other religions. He has the freedom to choose whatever he wants. So far, he chooses to be an unpracticing wiccan. He sometimes joins circle but very rarely. And get this.... I am working at a school that is primarily Mormon and High Christian. Envy me? I bet not!

Thanks for sharing Butch. I know that many of us have felt humiliated, depressed, wierd, unwanted, and FAT. Thank you for being blunt. This is why I posted this thread. I want us to be able to feel as if we can open up our hearts and our thoughts and know that no one is here to judge us, just support us.

I went to Mexico too. I wouldn't say that all reports are "glowing" because I have heard my share of horror stories but my personal experience I would rate as "okay". Not terrific, not terrible, but got the job done. There are plenty of doctors in the US that take self pay now are are competitive with their rates. There are a few in Denver that are around $11k, one is Michigan that is $12k, a couple in Texas and in Chicago is $14k. I would suggest to look around. The aftercare once you have been banded in Mexico is frustrating but for me it is okay because I am closer to the border. I don't think Mexico is bad, but I also would have paid the money to have it done in the US if it had only been $1k more. Just the safety and psychological security of it would of been nice. But I am not steering you away from Mexico (or Belgium or Europe) but I just want to suggest looking deeper into options here in the states. And if BMI is an issue, nowadays doctors here in states will do that too because of the Mexico success.

Well, I need a fillllllllllllll..... I just need to get down to Phx and fly to San Diego and I just don't have time. Life just gets in my way. My last fill was Oct 05. I still have restriction but I can eat a lot before I feel it. I just need to bite the bullet and go get the darn fill and fly there! (I am a self pay from Mexico and it costs too much for me here and I won't do anything but flouro). Greetings to the new AZ bandsters.

Either way, I realize and have come to terms that there WILL be another surgery eventually. The band is not designed to be life long only long term to change eating habits so that you learn to live without the band. Those veterans that have had their bands removed seemed to be doing good for a few months after but then I never see them post anymore. I wonder how Michelle and Penni are doing with weightloss efforts?

The cruise is 7 nights and 8 days out of Galveston Texas. The cruise leaves on June 17th. There are a lot of people going (yet I don't have the full list, the agent does and won't get a final list until all have paid). Well, we had a lot of late replies but the price has almost doubled from when we started doing this last year. We had a single traveler cancellation. We have other single bandsters that were paired up. No one really knows each other but we paired males with males and females with females. This is a FANTASTIC price. Check for yourself at www.rccl.com The price is nearly double. But because we had 1 female single cancellation we can replace that person with another female traveler that is traveling solo. So, someone needs a roomie!!! This person can be anyone wanting to go (veteren bandster, newbie, just wanting to go, friend of a friend, etc) and "look" (don't touch, yeah riiiiiight) at all the yummy food with us and relax in the sun and have a fantastic summer vacation for a really good deal. There are many of us going and we will have an unbelievable good time. For anyone that has never cruised but want to try it, THIS is your moment. And in my opinion, a cruise is the only way to vacation for me anymore. I go on a lot of them and I am never bored and I have loved them all!
