  1. Looks like high impact aerobics to me. That would KILL my back and knees. Your 25 though, so you may be able to keep up with that. For me... give me yoga and let me relaxxxxxxxxxx. :scared:
  2. Wooot Wooot!!! Congrats!
  3. Please remember that the lap band yields 1-2 lbs a week. At 1 lb a week your 4 lb loss is normal. Metabolisms and previous damage to our bodies are different for everyone. Some lose weight very rapidly and stand still. Some take some time. It will work, just follow your dieting and eating rules and you will be successful. I can't remember who said it (I think it was Jack) but "you didn't gain all your weight in a few months, don't expect to lose it in a few months". HUGS!! Everything will be okay. Just think.... you are 15 lbs lighter than you were a few months ago! That is terrific progress!!!
  4. LMAO, I am going to teach 6th grade this year!!! Funny how we both did the same thing!!
  5. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16218&highlight=signature Here is a thread that takes you through it step by step
  6. SH!^ I forgot to add the poll. And it won't let me delete my own thread or posts anymore?? Oh well, I guess we can just reply. Darn it, I love a good poll.
  7. I have lost almost all of my weight and I need 15 more pounds until goal. Just the past 6 months I have noticed a lot of back pain in my lower back. And just this week I strained a disc in my lower back (laid me out for about a week now). I think it may be because I did my weight loss within a year and maybe my stomach and back muscles aren't strong enough to take the drastic change??? Granted, when I was a police officer carrying around that heavyyyy duty belt didn't help, but I resigned 3 weeks ago and STILL hurt my back pretty bad. Well most of you know how much I love a good poll, so I thought this might be a good topic! So.... have you had back pain since weight loss?
  8. I gave up pop just 2 weeks before surgery (just to see how I would do) and I haven't had even a sip since! And I was a HUGE pepsi-holic! I substitute the soda pop with juice, flavored water, tea, lemonade. I feel sooooooo much better with none of that gunk inside me. Hmmmmm, now if I can only quit smoking....... :scared:
  9. and then... walk some more!!

  11. I "could" and did drive about 3 days after surgery. But I wasn't really "comfortable" driving until about 7 days. Short trips were okay (grocery store, pharmacy, school, etc) but driving out and about for the heck of it was out of the question until about 10 days after surgery.
  12. I know many bandsters with a "flipped" port. May be more challenging, but they still get filled and are doing great in weight loss! Hang in there!!
  13. Good luck and many happy thoughts are with you. Come back soon and check in with us ASAP! We will be thinking of you.
  14. I am self pay and went to Dr. Ortiz. I paid about 10k.
  15. I would get a second opinion from another bariatric doctor if I were you.
  16. I had a harder tissue build up too and was told scar tissue, but it went down a little farther along after banded. I can still feel some hardness but I am guessing it is just some scar tissue left.
  17. Welcome back!!
  18. I need a roomate for a bandster traveling single!! Anyone want to travel single (female) and want to shack up in an outside or inside dbl???? PM me ASAP!

I am going to see if the agent can block some more rooms. Remember, you can hold it for a week, just PM me your information so I can get it to the travel agent!! Elisa will call you for your credit card or payment information next week!! DO NOT send me credit card info please. It will all be done through the agency. I am just the liasion for the group cruise for organization, questions, activities, etc. The departure/retun port is Galveston, Texas. 24. Yep, what they said. Slowwwwwwwwww down. Try eating with baby untensils until you get the hang of it. That worked great for me.
  25. Personally, after the things I have heard from his patients I wouldn't even use him as my dog's vetrinarian for teeth cleaning. Check out Delarla's threads about him. What a nightmare.
