I am almost 3 weeks post op right now! My morning sugars are in the 112 range right now! I had my first lowest sugar ever at 73 range--and I felt good! I didn't feel weak or headche-y.
I was on insulin and glipizide pills NOT anymore. I only take metformin 1000 mg 2x a day!

What a victory - good for you! You also have a special victory in your supportive family. Your boys cheering you on through a workout is so sweet it brings tears to my eyes. Keep jogging your way to onederland!

Good for you!!! You will find something very cute to wear that will be a size you are happy with. It was so exciting when I hit 199! I officially have lost 101 pounds in exactly 6 months. I feel like I have won the lotto of life!

Thanks for sharing! I am 6 days post op and the thought of what did I do to myself has for sure crossed my mind... This helps me!! Congrats on you success!! I have seriously dry skin patches before surgery so I am sure it will not get better after. have you ever tried utter baum? Like what they use on real cows utters... the kind they have at Wal-Mart does not do it for me. The stuff at the farm supply store is the only thing that I can use to help for my skin. IDK if it will work for you but it is pretty cheap and might be worth a shot. Best of luck to you!

I can't wait to find my hipbones again - 3 weeks out, you're doing fine. Remember, you had major surgery and now have serious calorie restriction. 1st you heal, and then you can beat yourself up for not jogging, or running a marathon.

I'm a teacher also. I was sleeved on June 7th. I cannot imagine going back to school after only 2 weeks. That would have been soooooo hard. I'm exhausted after walking very slowly for 30 minutes. I cannot imagine doing inclusion and running around like that. Have a wonderful summer.

It will get easier my surgery was April 25th I had a very large hernia which had to be repaired along with the sleeve surgery. I've been sick and swollen for about a month. I feeling much better at this point. However I'm still not eating much, but feeling good.

By taking this journey, you are giving your husband the best gift of all.... You are giving him a healthier, more energetic, happier wife who will be alive to love him much longer. I cannot think of a better gift for him or your two boys. Congrats on your success to date!

Hi. I'm sorry you've had a rough start. I am almost 8 weeks out and I can relate to some of your experience. I was in the same mindset 2 months ago. I woke up one morning about 5-6 days out and lay in bed wondering what the hell I had done. I've since collected myself and am now celebrating my sleeve more WHILE I adjust to my new stomach, appetite, and eating pattern....everything. I thought my belly looked deformed and bruised at first. My son thought it looked "cool". It's gotten/getting better...everything. It will for you, too. Hang in there.

hi, I am 6 days post op. and am having a terrible time with drinking any protein. I am ok with other fluids, but afraid of dehyration since when i drink protein it goes right thru...i am sorry you are having such a hard time. Except for this issue, I feel goo, just zero energy...We can do this

That sounds awful.
I am 1 week post op feeling so so still abdominal pain. I was just able to eat 1 popsicle and 1 small sugar free jello is taht too much to be able to eat so soon??
