  5. Depends on the airline but I think you will be fine. As a frequent flyer---few tips. Fly during "off-peak" times of the day and days of the week....this will ensure the flight is not packed like a sardine can. Of course, this tip is becoming less valid as airlines reduce the number of flights. Book a window seat...you have a little more wiggle room on the side. Of course, the exit row seats are the best. Be sure to ask for a seat extender when you first get on the plane, before you sit down....ask the first flight attendant you see. The extenders tend to go fast these days. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes....nothing that binds. The seat tray in front of you may not go down all the way....best to test before they offer an in-flight beverage. Again, depends on the type of aircraft. Smile. Make eye contact. You are a valuable human being and have every right to be there.

  13. This is very normal. Your body is still healing and trying to find its way, so to speak. You have lost 19 pounds. That is an accomplishment that can be celebrated. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself time. You got this. Stay the course.

A great story to demonstrate, "Stay the course." Thank you.
  18. Try to stay busy and keep your mind off food. It's hard when your tummy is rumbling but remind yourself about the life choice you are making. It helped me to make a list of the things I wanted to accomplish when losing weight, other can focusing on the scale and numbers. I kept the list in front of me. Now, after surgery, I'm finally checking some things off that list. It feels so good. You can do the pre op diet. You got this.

Yeah! I know you are excited. I like the Premier shakes that you can purchase from Costco. I've tried most of the protein shakes and Premier is one of the better tasting options. I tried Muscle Milk. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Good luck with your surgery date!
