Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Good morning Violets!! Finally back to 219 again...Ok, so the scales do matter. funny how when it goes down they matter and when they don't I try to blow it off and just keep on keeping on. Terri-you crack me up....the coupon clipping penny pinchers club!! lol I had just assumed that they guys weren't invited, so as long as they are, I have alot better of a chance of going. I am sure I am making my DH sound like a monster that never lets me do anyting, but that is not the case. We are just the type of couple that does everything together...and like it that way. Corny, huh? lol Kat is right anyway, who would carry the luggage? LOL Everyone have a great Friday!! And remember what Judy always says....

I did just realize something though, Vegas with the DH tagging along would be great. He would hang a lip like you would not believe if I said I was going to Sin City without him LOL

Wow, I can sum mine up easily....just ditto to what everyone else has said and I am one of the people having fun, not one of the spectators anymore. Oh, and my undies do not resemble shrub covers anymore

I know that I will need a TT when i am done. 12 years ago I had lost from 325 to 160 and still had the apron, so I know for a fact that this time I will need one. Unless I get a miracle???

I do not really sweat the scales as much as I used to! Don't get me wrong, I love to see it go down, but when it doesn't for a little while, I know that it will eventually. It just takes preserverence (sp?) The great thing I like about this weight loss is that I know that unless I really screw up somehow, it is permanent weight loss and that is so awesome! I am clueless about where the violets can meet....someone just take charge and say, OK, we are having it here or there....

Good morning everyone.... Terri-she was not just jackin with me cause she took the call for the interview while I was sitting there. Anyway, it all worked out good, so now i can relax! At least for a little while. Michelle, you are right, the drama takes alot out of a person!! Looks like I am going to teeter around 219-221 again, but thats OK. I expected that considering I went from basically all liquids to solids. Makes sense to me so I am not gonna let it get me down (yet, lol) Everyone have a great day and remember what Judy always says... PS, TracyKS, great NSV!!! Feels good doesn't it?

Good morning violets....welcome to the new violets Terri-well, I managed to get my lazy a$$ out of bed this morning so that at the least is a positive thing, right? LOL The good news is the scale went down the 1.5 I had gained. The fluid pill did its job. Thank God. Now for the other 1 I gained....the fibersure should take care of that...TMI i know. Everyone have a great day and remember what Judy always says!! We miss you mdrai & pamela!!

Welcome JosieB.... Wow what a chatty group today. I had 3 pages to read from this morning!! I am kinda down today. The girl that works for me in my office is going on an intervew for a new job on Thursday. Long story short...i don't think I have the energy to train someone else (again). We get along great and I hate to see her go, but I can understand why. The only reason I am still there is because I have been there for so long I am like a permanent fixture and I have the "well, I have done it for this long" attitude. I went through 9 temps over a 2 year period to find someone as good as she is, now she is leaving! OMG! Now all the work will be mine to do all by myself again until God only knows when. And to top it off, we are busier than a one legged man in an ass kickin' contest. (I work in the oil & gas service business that suports offshore drilling & production.) Ugh...I can't think about it anymore....Jenn...move to Texas and come to work with me!! lol Laura-sorry to hear that you are sick! That really bites! But congrats on the new hubby!!

Good morning everyone, Well, the scale has been bouncing from 218.5 to 221 and that is disheartening considering I have mostly been drinking my meals. I will just chalk it up to water weight and take a fluid pill today!! Yesterday I had a great NSV...one of the guys at work (that does not know about the surgery) commented on my weight loss...he was the first one so I ran to him and hugged him!! Everyone have a great day and remember what Judy always says....

Hi everyone!

I called my dr office this morning and they let me go in today for the "unfill". I have been wondering all of this time why with .9 I had so much restriction. Well, I did not have .9 in there I had 1.4 of omnipaque (which the nurse said does cause more restriction for alot of people than saline does). How the other nurse confused 1.4 with .9 is beyond me. She even wrote .9 on my chart. Long story short....today she did take some out and know I am at .9

I am going to see how that goes but I can tell that it will be alot better. Next time I get a fill (if ever) I am going to make sure I have the same nurse who did it today.

So, this is the summary of what I have had

Surgery 4/11

Fill 5/11 to 1.5 (saline, which oddly enough I did just fine with)

6/26 Fill from .7 saline (the rest was lost from absorbtion) to 1.3 omnipaque

7/9 Unfill to .9 omnipaque

Everyone keep your fingers crossed and I will let you know how this one goes!! I am SO ready to try this out

Happy birthday to both of the birthday girls!!!!
By the way...I had lost 5.7 pounds on the dr scales since 6/26...not too shabby for all the liquids & mushies I have been on

OK, so to heck with waiting for a week to decide if I am gonna get a slight unfill....I am! I am not going to live on soup and oatmeal the rest of my life. I can not eat anything....I mean ANYTHING solid!! I have chewed until I feel like I am going to get lock jaw. I have become a professional at PBs. I would rather use will power and the restriction from just the band if I have to. I can not live like this!! aarrggggggh! OK, the tyrade is over. Sorry you all had to witness the tantrum.- What Books Are You Reading Now?
I highly recommend a book called "for one more day" by Mitch Albom. it is about a man, through a series of unfortunate events, decides to commit suicide. He was on his way to the house he grew up in to do it and when he got there, his mother was there...his mother had been dead for 8 years. He was able to spend the day with her and try to make up for all the things he should have said or done while she was alive. The author said that when he was looking for ideas on what to write about, most people that he asked if they had a chance to spend one day with, who would it be....most all of the responses were someone in their families that had passed away. So that is where he got the idea for the book. I cried at times while reading it. Very touching. It is only in hard back right now, but worth every penny!! I also just finished "The Husband" by Dean Koontz. Good one too. And...I also just read "Fool Me Once" by Fern Michaels. The typical family secrets revealed book. I loved it though...it makes my life sound so "normal". LOL Right now I am reading "Mary Mary" by James Patterson. A good murder mystery.- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Kat-I am still sending up the prayers for your entire family! I hate that you are going through such an emotional time! It is so hard to watch someone you love hurt, especially a baby. My payers are still with you. Mdrai-happy b-day in advance for tomorrow. I was wondering where you had been. We missed you. Laura-Can't wait to hear from you. Congratulations... Everyone have a great day!!!- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Journals...whoa. From experience, be very careful what you write in them!!- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Thank u all for the replies to my problem. I came home early from work because I just feel so drained. I know I am not getting the vitamins I need. Do you all take a vitamin? If so, what kind? As far as the restriction goes, I am kinda scared to get some of it taken out...I guess I will give it another week or so and see how I feel about it then. Oh well, I am rambling...sorry:speechles Did any of you see that movie "Monster-In-Law"? In the movie Jennifer Lopez had a necklace that was a question mark and when she was asked why the question mark she said "because I just don't know"....LOL I seriously need (want) one of those necklaces because I "just don't know" either. One thing I do know is I am going to crawl in bed...I don't feel well:sick- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
:help::help::help: Anyone? good morning violets...instead of typing it again I just quoted myself....how is that for lazy? lol Everyone have a great day!! And remember what Judy always says.....- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Hi Jenn-nice to meet you "face to face" LOL. It is nice to have a face with the name. I love the tattoo, but I am too big of a chicken to get one!! Judy-I am always up with the chickens....I like to get up early and have some "me" time before I get m daughter up and start the daily grind. I am so excited for Laura.... Tell me if you all think I am too restricted....I had a piece of pork chop about 2" x 2" and about 1/2" thick, literally 2 bites of mashed potatoes and about 5 green beans...afterwards it took everything I had not to throw up....do you all think I am too restricted or is that about right? - Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
