Kat-I have some tucks...that is a great idea! Thank you! Jen-Macys fever an hour or so ago was 101.4 and that is with medicine in her, so I can imagine what it would have really been! Tracy-that is going to be the PS I use. He answered one of my questions on here too. I think its pretty cool that he comes here to help!!

NEW! 2008 Shrinkin' Vi's Trip Planning Thread!!
Yeah, what Terri said... Remember when making flights that 3 of us live in the houston area and can pick ya'll up and drive into SA. Even though I hate driving in Houston traffic with a purple passion, I will do it for the violets. (no pun intended) Not to mention I have to go that way to get to SA anyway!! I guess as the date gets closer we can get a list from all of you to find out what times the different arrivals are so we can pick everyone up. I just love when a plan comes together. I am so excited!!

Good morning violets! I have been up since about 3:30 AM with dd. She was back up to 103.2 and I gave her ibufrofen. She went back to sleep at around 5:30 and slept for 2 more hours. I cat napped with her then I ran to walmart to get a few thing. Mainly I went so I could get out of the house because I am seriously getting cabin fever! I feel better today, thank goodness. I am so worried I am going to get what she has. Thank God for Lysol. Judy-the mental pic of frozen hair cracks me up. So instead of Jack Frost we will call you Judy Frost :girl_hug: I am gonna go check out the trip thread. Have a great day violets!

Good evening violets! Judy-hope you had a spectacular trip! We missed you! Laura-are you home yet? We miss you too! Pamela-so in the "real world" do people call you Pam or Pamela or what? Just wondering so I will know what to call you on the trip! (I can't wait) DD is still sick. Good news is she asked for something "real" to eat instead of a popsicle. She requested pancakes, so that is what she got. She ate one small one and she normally eats 2 and asks for more. At least she ate one. That makes me happy. She slept all afternoon so I am quite sure I will be pulling the graveyard shift with her tonight while she is bright eyed & bushytailed. I have already called the girl that works with me and my boss and told them that dd is sick and I don't know when I will be there. On the upside, dh is on his way home from work and I will be able to go take a shower! I feel funky. I thought I was getting sick too earlier. I felt nauseated and I started thinking....what happens when we start throwing up with a band in us? Would I have to get an unfill? Do any of you know the answer to that? Have a great evening V's

I dont see the me that is in the mirror?
You look amazing! I was banded in April '07 and I am just now noticing (sometimes) in pics and in the mirror that I have really changed. It does take most ppl a while to notice the changes. It is normal. I am in the same boat. The only way I think I could really come to terms with my size I am now is if the old me and the new me were to walk into house and stand side by side so I could see it for myself! Congrats on the success so far!

Just got surgery date and scared

A couple of years before I met dh I would chat in a 30something chat room. Those folks were my best friends and I had never met them before. I was in a new town with no family and I had always said that I would not go inot a chat room. I was glad I did. There were people from all over the world in that chat room. One day I mentioned that one of the girls was coming to Galveston and we were gonna hang out and the next thing you know it snowballed and we ended up having 16 people come to Galveston for a chat meet. One guy even came from London to meet us! We had 3 from canada and the rest were from different places in the US. It was so much fun meeting all the people that had become like family to me. I had met dh on that website one day when he had just popped in out of nowhere. He wasn't really to jazzed about me having the chat party but I told him that it was already planned and booked. I also told him that since I had met my soulmate that I would not be chatting anymore and the party was the perfect ending of that chapter in my life. And it was the perfect ending! THIS get together is different though, this is not an "ending" gathering for me, it is a lifetime of violet sista friendships that I appreciate more than words can express! So, in a nutshell, you won't get rid of me!- Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
Just popping in for a minute to give a mcay update. At 5:00 PM she had 104.2 fever. I feel so horrible for her. DH watched her for a couple of hours while I took a nap so I can take the night shift. When I woke up I realized how high her fever had gotten. Made me feel guilty for taking a nap. I will check back in later...- Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
Just got home from bringing macy to the dr. She doesn't have strep....she has the FLU! They did a throat culture on her that made her gag of course then she looked at me and said "momma I need to throw up" OMG we barely made it to the bathroom and out it all came. Poor baby. They did not give her any meds and said it just has to run its course and she may run fever for 5-6 days (my boss is gonna love that one, but, screw him). They said if she is still running fever next Friday to bring her back in for blood work. Thanks for all the well wishes for her! I gotta run....- Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
My phone rang at 1:30 AM. My mom telling me that dd has a high fever and was crying for her mommie. When i picked her up from daycare yesterday there was a note on the door saying that a child in the class had strep. Well, guess what, now Macy as it. We drove 3 hours roundtrip and picked up dd. I called the dr and she told me that the office is open today and to just bring her in. So, they will probably just confirm what I already know and hopefully give her some antibiotics. It has been a longggg night. When I walked in the door at moms to pick dd up the smile on my babygirls face was priceless and she said "mommie is here to take care of me. She always takes good care of me". My heart melt. Keep Macy in your prayers please! Denise-lookin good granny! Awesome job!- Shrinkin' Violets- Part 2 Read Here
Goodnight everyone...I am turning in early so I can go get some things done while dd is gone. Sweet dreams violets!- Introducing Myself
Hi DrJLo- I love LOVE love the show and had decided that I would like for you to be my physician for my TT and to remove the "wings" from my arms. I was wondering what the recovery time would be for the excess skin removal from my arms would be. I work in an office so there is no heavy lifting. I would probably have to do the TT at a later time because money is an issue unfortunately. Thanks for coming here to answer our questions!- NEW! 2008 Shrinkin' Vi's Trip Planning Thread!!
