Sleevin'It reacted to LipstickLady in Is losing your pants an NSV? Another lesson from Sleevilla.
Yup. Lost 'em. Not once, but twice during kickboxing today. The first time I was scooting backwards across the floor on my butt. I went back, my pants didn't. The second time, I was concentrating on my punching form so hard, I didn't even notice my pants were around my mid thighs. Ooooops!
I am quit certain my martial arts instructor will never let this one go. I can't even kick his arse!
Lesson learned. Always wear pretty underwear.

Sleevin'It reacted to ProudGrammy in I need some advice please
Sheril can only imagine how you must be feeling
problems with ovaries, possible cyst, cancer
must be scary
i hope you have a support system - DH, mom, siblings et al
having the hysterectomy will hopefully help/solve your possible problems
i had a hysterectomy yearsssssssssss ago - don't remember any effect between weight gain and the surgery
but............maybe meds you get for a bit, might cause weight gain
first things first..............
have the surgery, get all fixed up - you must eat, drink and keep yourself strong
don't worry about the POSSIBLE weight gain - take care of yourself with surgery first
later, get back on the horse, you know what to do -
I have confidence in you
you lost 125 lbss
i'm sure you will be able to continue your great weight loss, and feel terrific
congrats on losing 125 lbs
good luck with your surgery
healing thoughts being sent your way
hugggggs

If it's any consolation, the Mariners are losing right now 2 to 0. You'll feel better and will soon be able to go and do a lot of things.

Sleevin'It reacted to tigerbelle in oops! :-O
thanks for helping me see the humor in this...the weird thing is that when I first put the pants on this morning (I hadn't worn in quite a while), I was sort of happy that they fit with a little room to spare...little did I know how embarrassing that "wiggle" room would be

Sleevin'It reacted to tigerbelle in oops! :-O
I get out of my car at work today and start walking across the parking lot...I feel like I need to pull my pants up, so I reach to my waist...don't feel the pants...look down they have fallen down to my knees! I quickly pull them up and look around to notice not too many people are near me...the rest of the day I walked around with one hand holding up my pants...I must have looked like a fool...and somebody may have noticed in the parking lot--I either made their day by giving them a huge laugh or scarred them for life!

Sleevin'It reacted to skibunn42004 in My surgery story
In 2000 I was 240 pounds and lost 70 pounds. I was married to a man who wanted me thin but nothing was ever good enough for him. He was verbally abusive and my self esteem was terrible. I got the courage and got a divorce. I kept the weight off for many years but managed to gain back 30 of it. I was still over weight.
I got a new job and on that day went to my primary care dr. He said I had not dieted for a year and would not support my decision. What? I was crushed. That same day my dr did a lunch seminar on gastric sleeve. I talked to him that day and made an apt the same day. I bcbs and only had 1 physc eval and 1 nutrition visit, I had to do EGD, stress test, and sleep study. I found out I had a hital hernia.
My family was supportive although they do not live here. I was really hurt that my sister had the same week off on vacation and chose to go on vacation but didn't come spend time with me during my surgery. I got very sick and had a reaction to the antibotic. I had severe nausea and none of the medicines worked. I work for an airline so there's no charge to fly. She is a nurse and I needed someone with me in the hospital. She had the nerve to call and yell at me in the icu! Thank god I have great friends and neighbors who came and saw me.
I had a really hard time drinking Water in the hospital. I could only get down ice tea. I was so weak I could barely walk. I did it so I could go home. The funny thing is - I had NO PAIN. They kept saying your in pain your bp is up. I was like I feel nothing. I only took tylenol at home none of the pain meds. I am telling the surgery was a piece of cake. LOL
I got home and things went great. I drank my Protein shakes, walked for 2 minutes every hour on my treadmill.
I am almost 4 weeks out.. I have lost 22 pounds ( maybe more I am not weighing till my one month date), I walk an hour a day on my treadmil. I feel great! I also went back to work 1 week after my sleeve.
I feel great!
