  1. Happy birthday, and great job!!!
  2. Hi Shelby, thanks for keeping us posted on your progress. Don't worry too much about the pounds yet. You just had major surgery and the hospital gave you lots of fluids, so your weight will not be true yet. I had a hard time with intake for a good month before my internal swelling went down enough to get in the required fluid intake. Keep sipping your fluids and try to get moving as much as possible. Start with short walks every hour or two and increase. Good luck and keep us posted!
  3. You go!!! Definite NSV!!!
  4. Hi Cannie, Welcome! I can tell you how I prepared for surgery and sleeve-life. I watched as many YouTube videos I could find on the sleeve, joined this forum, and read everything I could get my hands on. When I spoke with my surgeon, he provided me with info I would need to prepare for my pre-op and post-op diet. Search this forum for any and all experiences that interest you. If you can, join the local support groups for sleevers. There are so many different experiences you can learn from. When the time comes for surgery, make sure you follow your docs instructions to the letter. They are to help you to avoid any complications. You will find that different docs give different instructions, but follow whatever your doc says. Good luck! And can't wait to see you on the "sleeved side"!
  5. Great job! Keep up the great work!
  6. I've been using Fitbit for a little over a week now. I haven't added friends yet, but I enjoy it! I feel like its holding me accountable for the amount of movement I'm getting in daily and encourages me to move more.
  7. Hottie alert! You are so pretty! Congrats on your success and reaching your goals!
  8. YAYYYY! I know the feeling. I went from being Morbidly obese to being Obese! Who knew that would be something to be happy about??? Lol!
  9. Thanks for all the positive comments! It's so weird how our minds play tricks on us. I FEEL great! But when I look at pics, I get disappointed. I don't know if I was hoping to look at a pic and see Angelina Jolie or something! ;P again, thank you!
  10. Lol! Thanks Laura-Ven! I really don't see much of a difference. I'll see myself in the mirror and feel like I'm still the same ole me.
  11. It would help if I added the pic!
  12. Hi, I wanted to share my first full body pics. I don't see much difference, so please let me know if you do. 1st pic: day before surgery in April 2nd pic: 11/2 months post op- down 35lbs 3rd pic: yesterday down 70 lbs HW: 320 SW: 308 CW: 250 Height: 5'9 Thanks for your input!
  13. Congratulations on your pregnancy!! And I agree with everyone else, you are BEAUTIFUL!! Don't let your friend's comment (even if it was said with love) make you feel like you are not the gorgeous woman that we can see you are!
  14. I'm interested. I'm in North Dallas- near Carrollton. Where are you again? I'd love to start doing 5Ks. Eventually, I'd like to try the Rock and Roll half marathon, but I need to work up to it.
  15. Hey Don, thanks for the invite to the group meeting! I had a really great time and can't wait until next month! I didn't get to meet everyone but I plan to rectify that next meeting
  16. I was the same way at 1 month out. The docs finally figured out that I had more swelling than normal, which was causing me to feel full all the time (delayed emptying of food into my stomach). I started to eat small bites of things I enjoyed pre-sleeve, and found after a few weeks that my intake was increased. Good luck and keep trying!
  17. Looks yummy!
  18. Looking up the 30 day shred now! You look amazing!!!
  19. I'm at 4 months and I'm stalled too. But I have faith that I'm not done yet. I've started changing things up by exercising and making sure I get my protein in first. This shall pass. Keep at it!
  20. I'd like to go to the meeting. My husband may be able join me, but not 100% sure yet. So, at least count me in! Thanks for the invite!
  21. Thank you for sharing your experience. You made done really valid points. Good luck throughout the rest of your journey!
