  1. Yeah i looked into that and someone said that it doesn't make that much of a difference. But i have a nutrition class on Monday and I'll ask then

  3. How old are you? M/F? These things contribute to the amount you'll loose and how fast you'll loose it.
  4. My surgery is the 29th. I put a count down app on my phone and man those numbers are moving fast. Cant wait to get this over with. I know its going to be worth it. Just got to stick the plan best luck to both of you and yes God is Great!
  5. Im kind of on the same boat but my surgery is in two weeks and my doctor didnt give me a liquid diet. I had to do a 6 month work up for surgery that included meetings and stuff and also loosing 30lbs. i got down to 26 lbs lost and once I got my surgery date I kind of started to eat whatever I wanted.
  6. Are you going on any liquid diet before the surgery? Ive seen allot of people doing it but my doctor didnt mention anything about it

  9. Yeah I'm having it done here in Los Angeles, CA. Mine was also covered by my insurance. I don't think i could do it in Mexico but i was surprised to see how many people get it.
  10. I'm feeling good trying not to over think it just keeping busy by gathering information. It'll probably hit me when I wake up the morning of. Are you having it here in the US or in Mexico? Where you from?

  12. My doctor didn't give me a liquid pre op diet, aka liver shrinkage diet, but i was wondering what it basically consists of. What are you guys allowed to drink? Thanks.
  13. I bought some premium protein shakes at Costco they have chocolate and vanilla. The chocolate ones aren't bad and they have 30g of protein, My dr's office suggests the isopure non flavored powder protein also but i haven't tried it.

  15. Hi there sorry to bug but I was wondering if you had any questions for when you go to your pre op class. I was going to ask if there was anything we can take after for hair loss ,since it seems like it will be an issue, and also i was told to have about 80-120g of protein a day but how many calories should we consume a day. Those are my questions just wondering if you had any so I can ask as well. Thanks.
  16. Hi I went with Dr. Solomon from South Bay Surgeons and my surgery is the 29th of this month. The office has been very good and the Dr. is very helpful

Hi everyone just saw a list of peoples surgery dates for the month of May but I wanted to see if we can make this list for everyone so Ill start with mine and just copy and paste with your date. If your surgery is before mine just put it on top of mine if its after put it under and then the next person can do the same.   24. Hi, Im not a self pay but my mom is looking into getting this done and she would have to be a self pay how much does something like this cost with your doctor?
