When I start to feel a loss is not noticeable I think to myself I'm losing fat on my internal organs. I'm getting healthier. Then a week goes by and I say hey I never noticed that collar bone. Lol.

Well, I just spent the day shopping for my trip next week to my banded dtr's in KS. I was a 3-4X top and 26-28 bottom before WLS. Let me tell you. I bought 16-18 tops and a 16-18 sweat outfit with a "hoodie" mind you. I was flying high. People thought I was crazy. I was turning in circles and "Yahooing" all over the place. (not quietly either) My husbsand just stood there and laughed at me. Was really fun. I didn't buy much because I still have 35-40# to go yet but what a nice feeling. Makes all the effort worth while. What a nice NSV.

    Non scale Victory

My favorite one to date has got to be fitting in the booth at our favorite Mexican restaurant without having to move the table closer to my son. Plus, having lots of room between my belly and the table.
    The others:
Seeing all the bones in my feet and ankles
    Having just 1 chin
My son wrapping his arms around me and getting excited that he can clasp his hands for a "real hug".
All of my rings and bracelets being too big
Buying regular sized clothes from Old Navy
Having my dermatologist not even recognize me until she read my chart, that was an amazing feeling.

So I'm seven weeks out. No complications but I'd like to hear what small victories you've had so far. I lost a shoe size and went to dinner with my family and had only half the anxiety I usually have about fitting in the booth. I don't snore like a freight train anymore and my rings are loose. I can. Limb a flight of stairs without hyperventilating. Oh and I can touch my toes. That's a big one for me. How bout you?

Crossing my legs! Love that!! Also I decided to run for the first time since before surgery 6 months ago just to see how far I could get before I had to stop and boom! Went way further than I had anticipated! Loving my sleeve!

On my surgery date I was wearing 18W. So I guess about 8 weeks. I've been making sure I got in my Proteins, fluids and exercise each day. I eat 60-80grams of Protein, drink 9-12 cups of Water, and I walk about 5-7 miles per day...occasionally missing a day.

I'm 7 weeks PO. My work scrubs are loose, they were pretty tight before because I refused to go up a size. My rings can spin on my fingers. I can shave all of my "parts". I feel so much better about myself already!

Sleeved 12/17/12. Down 61 lbs from 275. Was wearing a tight 20 pants, 2xl scrub bottom, 22/24 tops, 3xl scrub top and knit shirts. I can comfortably fit in a size 14 pant, xl scrubs swallow me. Went tonight to pick up my packet for The Color Run and the guy asked me my shirt size and I told him and XL-he looked at me like I had two heads and said no way you wear an XL, you wear a large. So I took the large shirt home, told my hubby the story and pulled it out of the bag. After eyeing the shirt skeptically, I told the husband I was probably going to be SOL on race day...then I tried it on and it fit perfectly. And to my delight, other registrants were complaining on Facebook that the shirts were running on the small size!!

How long did it take you to get into 14s? I started in 2xl, they are getting loose so probably in an xl now.

I stopped snoring, fit into clothes that where in the fattie can't fit them pile. My belly doesn't hang out of the bottom of my shirts.
Those are just some of the little things that have made me glad I did this.

It was extremely similiar to gallbladder surgery for me. Except i had more gas pain and discomfort with gallbladder surgery. the muscles in your stomache feel sore like too many situps you will avoid coughing and sneezing for a week. lol. hugging a pillow when you need to cough or sneeze will help. they did a great job managing my pain but i was only on pain meds for 24 hours. walk, walk, walk, If you breezed through gallbladder surgery you will be FINE!
